  1. On a serious note which do most use on a daily basis? i figure i would use the dd1 as gain setting poses more of a problem then crossovers but im curious to see what others on the forum use more before i put my order in seeing as how i only have the money for one and more then likely want ever have the money for the other seeing as how i sold my system to afford my fluke mulitmeter (actually got a great deal used or couldnt of ever afforded it) and the rest i wanted for a dd1 and a few other tools i wanted for doing installs seeing as how i do installs almost daily now... Getting both isnt a option at this time so ppl please dont recommend that or i would love to :P i guess im asking which will be more effective for the money thanks guys

  2. 4. in my jeep i currently have a 18 i picked up local..

    mach 5 spl motor

re mt 18 soft parts pretty sure quad spiders stiff.. dvc 1 ohm...

standard 12 spoke basket just powder coated lime green but it goes hard for what it is handles power and isnt sloppy i am building another box so i figured why not throw together another...

i wtb either a mach 5 spl motor...

or re mt motor... either is fine if im not wrong the mt has a little smaller gap.. and is a little bigger maybe a inch wider..

also i need another re mt recone 18" d1

let me know might consider other motors let me know :drinks: '

(IF SOME ONE COULD TELL ME HOW TO POST A PIC ILL SHOW YALL THIS SEXI MONSTER)(NEW TO FORUMS)

  5. Definitely do it in 0 gauge. And I gotta be honest, for not knowing very much about car audio, you actually have some sort of clue. And you're not an asshole like most kids that are 16/17. Most of the time they come in here and ask for help. Then when we criticize them, they get all anal. Lol.

im here to learn when i grad this june i plan on going on to college to do custom installs.. ive had systems since i was 13 starting with sony and ever since bought and sold them installed them but never really new what was going on with them so im starting now trying to figure out what i should of few years ago.. and thanks for the help you helped alot

and being critized doesnt bother me because id rather know i did something wrong then blow something that would cost a grand to redo

  6. It is. But you will need an upgraded front batt forsure, along with the big 3 in 0 gauge(very inexpensive) and possibly a rear batt. I would just purchase a volt meter and keep an eye on your voltage. Then you can upgrade electrical if needed.

well at idle its keeps about 14.8 might drop to 14.5 with the system bumpin hard.. the jeep its in had the big three in 4 ga (had when purchased) and since i dont have my liscenses for another week i havent got around to doing it in 0 but i am asap and i am wanting to get a big batt for stock location.

  7. What's your electrical like? The reason why I suggested the 2200 is because your wiring options leave you with .5 ohm, or 2 ohm. You'd get more power out of the 2200 at .5 ohm, than you would with the 3500 at 2 ohm.

now that i look at it the 3500 would take a massive upgrade of elec. which im not willing to do right now.. i am currently stock but will be upgradeing soon. but i am deff going to look into the 2200 seems like a great deal on power

  8. I would say buy an AQ2200 and run it at .5 ohm. Plus, it has a built in clip light on the gain knob, so you can set your gains with the bass knob.

i was actually looking at the aq3500 but the 2200 ive seen alot of vids and such of and seem to put out good power

  9. ^ think i got the general idea... thanks for the link man.

another thing though.. do yall think i should actually buy another dtr1.2200d and run one to each coil or do you think i should just go with another company and a bigger amp?

i think ur somehow gonna clip or not set them the same and bye bye good mt.

    i say get a better 1 one. 2500-3500 sundown/dc/aq/etc/etc

this was my concern also was not getting it perfect and after buying a new amp i would be buying a recone.. and whats yalls opinions on best for the money?

  10. You can still run one amp to each coil. But you have to be alot more careful. You have to match each amps input voltage. Set each amps gain by using a DMM, and match their voltage.

^^ a dmm is a tool i actually own :) any tips on setting the gain and such with a dmm???
