Okay guys really appreciate the help, and surprisingly its true to there rating at 4ohms ill let you know how wiring them to 2ohms goes tomorrow. Thanks again.

ahh, you got me confused, i thought you were gonna wire the subs in parallel with each other then to the amp, as long as your amp doesnt have b ridged terminals, you can wire each sub by itself in parallel and then each sub to its own channel and get a 2 ohm load

Okay ill add some clarity with a diagram of how its hooked up.. This is how its hooked up now.
I'm wanting to hook it up this way, just need to know if its correct, and wont cause any harm.
Can i even wire two 4ohm subs to 2ohms? cause it requires more current 50% more, and its recommended to be more efficient i feel as if not there not really hitting to there potential being wired at 4ohms

Im pretty sure each channel is stable at 2ohms for 1500 watts on each channel, and bridging the amp brings it to peak power of 3000 watts on one channel.
i personally would bridge then, if your subs could take 1500W each

Okay i have a 2-channel 1500 watt rms amp, that is 2ohm stable and I have it hooked up to (2) 15-inch DVC 4Ohm Subs wired at a 4Ohm load. My question to you guys is that if I run it in parallel to bring it down to 2Ohms would that be better cause I'm only getting around 450 watts on each channel at 4Ohms, but my friend today said that they could only be wired up at 4Ohms or 1Ohm, but i think he is referring to a mono-block amp and not a 2channel.. Any Help peeps?

I revived the battery and both batteries give out a solid 12.2-13 volts.....No dead batteries.
thats a huge fucking difference in voltage for a stationary battery dude.

I have mine wired from the + terminal up front to the rear battery + terminal, and have a wire from the - terminal on 2nd battery grounded to the frame in the back. The alternator will charge both batteries this way, but it does put more strain on the alternator.
My heavy duty 875 cca battery is in the back i have a comp different batt up front of around 600 cca. After installing my 2nd battery it seemed as if my amp was able to push more watts because my subs hit the low
s even better! I heard 2nd battery is much better then a cap. So far i would agree.

Dont plan on playing the car audio with it off, I just want that extra battery installed.

Yes. In fact, most people on here do. I would only use an isolator if I mix battery types or play the system with the car off. Keep in mind that isolators add *usually unnecessary* resistance

I wouldnt under-power your subs, but in theory it should work just not very well. If im grasping your "Ebonics slang".

Finally fixed my problem it was a major voltage issue, i never noticed but the positive terminal on my battery had a layer of corrosion over it so i sanded it down and now i the voltage i need to power the subs, and everything is now working perfectly!

make sure your speaker wires to your amp terminals arent touching or sticking out and touching another.

it was a piece of metal that was real thin, i was using it for a quick ground think this is the source of all my problems? I never did move my ground upon reinstalling everything and it would play good and i would ride down the rode and it literally sounded like my subs were knocking trying to get out of the trunk.

did u clean the area u grouned with sandpaper make make use all the paint was gone?
or did u use a seat belt bolt 2 ground ur amp
it was a piece of metal behind the rear seat, and no i didnt sand it down.

Ive hooked everything up by the manual, and the amp is fine if i wanted you to knock it i would of said have at it. Anyway i have the amp wired to a 4ohm load. I followed all the manuals and subs are wired at 4ohms. amp can be wired to 1ohm, but its a 4ohm load. My ground is connected to a piece of metal but not the frame, think that may be the problem.

Okay i came here today to figure out my problem because i cant, and i figure someone here may know my problem. Im running two 4ohm dvc subs rated at 500 rms to a 1500 watt boss audio amp, after installing numerous times its failed to work my main problem is my amp is getting power, but my subs will not play they would hit hard for a second then not hit at all or sound very distorted. When i first installed them everything worked perfectly was hitting hard, sounded Bad ass. Round down the rode for about less then a mile and all of my bass would fade away, and upon unhooking up everything again my subs sound distorted, and wouldnt play efficiently. Everytmie ive hooked them up they play perfect until i ride down the road for a bit then i lose all bass and its a repeat. Lost here guys and need some help!
Battery Terminal > 4 gauge Power Wire to dist block > 8 gauge to amp > 8 Gauge ground > amp has power > Subs don't play efficiently.

Wiring my amp to 2ohms increases the power drastically and it makes quite a difference, i hooked it up today and it runs good but the amp gets hot.....but it is a sloppy Boss amp....oh well hits harder....IK it wont last but it only needs to for two months. Thanks again guys.
-Also its putting out 710-730 watts on each channel on my old-school watt meter.
