You could try asking a DC rep for a price on some level 4 18s, might be out of your range though too. I think an AQ would do fine, as far as "hitting" the lows, this could have been a box design flaw among many other possibilities, i wouldnt limit your decision on this guys one walled experience, in my experience i have never heard a wall sound good period. i saw that 21.... but idk... i know having a 21 in the back would give kind of that "wow" factor... but do you really think it would hit harder then 2 18's? especially with a 1500 rms rating

ok, so the aq's are looking like a def possibility.... i'm looking at their specs, and cant find a suggested cubed footage for ported... anyone? (sorry guys, been out of the audio game for about 5 years now... trying to get back in the swing of shit)

their rated at 3200 at 1 ohm... but its prolly a lil over rated and at 14 volts, so i would put them in the area of around 2000-2500 a piece

you know of a dealer/website for getting them? also... would these out perform the re sex 18's?

i was going to go with 2 18's... but the way my truck is, it would be a BITCH to get the to fit with the proper cubed footage... that, and it would be hard to get 2 18's for around 600... unless, you know of some 18's in that price range??? lol

ok... so starting the rebuild of the truck, and trying to figure out what to go with... so, here's what i'm looking at. i have a budget of around 600 for subs (could be a lil higher if necassary). i want to go with 15's, in the back of the montero... i will be pushing them with two BAMF 5500d's ... so.. ideas? should i run 4 lower priced 15's, 2 higher priced 15's? i'm pretty much going for the highest SPL possible... i can fit a max of around 20 cubic feet in the back, with the way i want the box to sit.... suggestions? edit: ed at t3 said he could hook me up with some re-coned t1000's for 165 a piece... just thought i'd throw that in there

i'm still working on upgrading it... it will have a shock relocation up front, once i get my new bags and cups in... the rear is running shocks... but its still on leafs... waiting to put the 4 link and mini notch in

ok guys... heres the deal... i'm doing the rebuild on my montero... and i never liked how low my rear sat.... just quite not low enough for me. now, i dont want to do a full notch on the frame (for one, i'm not going for a frame dragger, and i dont want to cut into my floor board)... so i ran across these.. bolt in notch now, to me, it seems like it could work.... i'm only looking to get another 2-3" of drop... just dont know how much it would affect the integrity of the frame... it wouldnt just be bolted in.... i would of course weld all the seams.... but just thought i would get your opinions thanks

thats what i'm trying to tell you... in the rear, unless you take a leaf out, and put in a drop block... or put in a link system in, the air bags wont matter... cuz it will still ride along at stock ride height. a general rule of thumb for bags (unless your doing a completely custom fab) is to do a static drop first, to the height you want it when fully dropped, and then put the bags on. i hope that helps explain the rear a lil.... as far as the front... that is extremely tricky. i dont have much experience with dropping 4WD's, except i kno that they are a PITA... so i'm not going to speculate on the best way for you to do it... i let the guys with experience in baggin 4WD's handle that one

if you want to keep the leafs you can just mono leaf it.... its pretty simple to do. just pull them off the vehicle, and they will usually pop right apart. it doesn't lower the vehicle, as much as it just lowers the amount of tension the springs put out... if you want to lower it on leafs, then you can just buy drop blocks, and mono or dual leaf it... if you do that, you can do an over the axle, or behind the axle set up... but like everyone has said, a multi link set up is def the best way to go(2,3, or 4 link)... it just depends on how much dough your willing to dish out and how much fabbing you want to do.

unless you plan on cutting into you floor pan for the 4 link in the rear, that will probably be very tricky to accpomplish... if your not notching the frame, you really dont need a 4 link on it... if you just want a nice low stance, but no frame dragging, i would suggest either doing a 2 link set up in the rear, or mono leafing it, with a drop block, and an over the axle, or behind the axle set up

most likely there wont be a complete bolt on kit for an older celica... its just not that popular of a car to bag... and even if there was, it would probably be cheaper to piece it together yourself. check out www.suicidedoors.com , and www.airbagit.com ... im pretty sure your celica has coil overs all around, so you will probably want to go with air struts... but that depends on how much clearance you actually have... alot of import guys end up having to go with air cylinders, just because they dont have the room for a full bag.... if you have any specific questions, shoot me a PM, and i'll answer all that i can
