  1. everyone above is correct but if i remember right cobalts use a 1 wire lock system so a shop might charge you extra for a realy/resistor set up like a dlrm or like module

yeah i was going to do this myself but this is a little out of my range of feeling good about doing it ill pay to have it done right next thing is to find a safe shop around me half these clowns do half ass work

  2. i found the problem it was part of the trunk deck that i thought was closed off by the frame i was wrong it goes the whole way into the trunk sealed it off sounds way better! i'm still trying the flash light thing just to make sure its all good

  3. not sure if this goes here but.. A few days ago i tested my system with the trunk open and yes it got way louder well today i spent about 2 hours foaming off around the false floor and wall and yet I'm still getting tons of air in the trunk I'm clueless as to where it could be going in at this is a cobalt I'm beating out of the backseat if anyone knows the designs on these cars or how i could track down how the airs getting back there would be very helpful at this point pics below id like to finish maken the backseat nicer and cleaner but not until i fix this problem

  4. I understand where you are coming from as it seems that your product is being knocked, but I actually enjoy the threads on these. Every one of these shows me what someone's symptoms are, what the problem is, and how to fix it. Sort of like a live troubleshooting database. If I have a problem with mine, I come here and look through these to see if someone else did it the same way and how they were supposed to do it. Then again, I've only had one problem once, and that was because I was not turning my HU up enough for the DD-1 to see a signal at the RCA level. Yes, another user error, but hopefully that helps 2 people at once by showing them they may need to turn up their HU some more and that my HU's distortion point can give someone a rough idea of where theirs may distort.

Plus with as many of these that come up as being user error, it only sways confidence in the product for a little bit, and then reinforces it more once the CS comes in and handles the situation. :D

i have to 100% agree on this also i had some "problems" that turned out to be a user error not the DD1 itself found the problem solver on here. i love my DD-1 and CC-1 glad you guys could come up with this stuff for people who ain't pros at setting their gear the right way
