  1. WTF? Im not getting any voltage drops anymore.. and im louder than I was before.. And before the drops were crazy drops.. like bad.. Now its slim to none? wtf.. Would a battery still help?.. idk what itd help other than future problems, and making sure my up front battery lasts as long as it should.
  2. Still happy that bin laden is dead.. :)

  3. Same spot the motor is. In your imagination.
  4. Wow.. so today I was blastin my sub again.. and im getting close to no voltage drops all of a sudden.. goes back and forth between like.. .03 of a volt.. and thats it.
  5. i didnt even see that he was missing the fuse before the back battery in his pic. shouldnt he put one before the battery in the alt to battery wire also? Yeah thanks for all the replies took a few days i got worried And HOOAH!! to osama bin ladens death. But I wasnt sure about the fuse, and running another wire to the back isnt really an option, I have no room up front on my terminal to run another off my neg, so I was hoping something like this would work, I read it can but.. its not the same but itll work?.. And I wasnt sure about the second fuse, after reading different opinions on that, do u think its necessary? I got a couple extra fuse blocks sittin right next to me so its fine but, I didnt fuse my alt either which.. idk its not a high output alt or anything just stock. But the ground in the back to the bat neg, then neg to my amp neg is more ideal? Thats cool one less wire in the way. Funny thing is.. I hooked my sub up today.. because my box is almost done, I just need to paint it And there wasnt any voltage drops (when I was poundin pretty hard) at all on my gauge.. but.. im gonna put my volt meter in tomorrow cuz I dont believe it, this sub was alot louder than my last 2. And my explorer battery was randomly dead yesterday mornin.. idk if a light was on or what, theres no battery drain and it started fine today so.. Apparently there was but im almost positive nothing was turned/left on. Still gonna get another battery tho, she deserves it And now im gonna check your guys links, thanks. Hey I already checked ur link before I posted this. I voted yes, did a search before I made this topic, thanks man. I have nothing to say so i'll just post a reply to raise my post count... The amp you have won't put out 2500w at 2 ohm... Audioque will put out more power at 1 ohm. Yeah I realize this.. but its pretty damn close, honestly.. weather or not what everyone says, im gonna test her tomorrow. And an AQ was a consideration AFTER the battery tho, there isnt a person on this forum that hasnt reccomended me to an aq2200d lol. So thatll be later, but for now I have no problems. Gas prices are kickin my ass too much lately.. and my vehicle.. bad combo. And thanks, I dont see whats wrong with paint.. Described it alot easier.. lol
  6. anyone? And what about my alternator its fine just wired to the 1 battery?
  7. Alright first off.. I was thinking of getting a d5100 for a system that should be around 2500rms, and as a second battery. The amp is a power acoustik gothic series (ovn1-5500d) and will be wired @ 2 ohms = 2500rms with an AA Mayhem 18" d2 (Might upgrade to AQ2200d in the future but need a battery now) The one at the hoods just a basic battery.. but another thing, if I were to buy this battery (assuming its a good choice any opinions?) what do I need to do to it. I heard u gotta charge these types of new batterys first so .. idk how to go about that exactly.. or if I have anything to. Also, Is this correct for wiring a second battery? I know what your all thinking.. im a fucking artist. I get that alot. But thanks in advance.
  8. Damn, im busy tomorrow.. Been wonderin when thered be somethin goin on in michigan. Wheres this one on the 29th happening too?
  9. Yea, someones designing me a box, im gonna make it right. And I kinda already included selling current stuff I have into it so I really dont have any more to spend. Thanks for noticing tho. I might get a partial refund or store credit for the fried subs (since the subs im returning still look brand new, idk what theyre gonna do with them, use the outer parts?) And dont worry I will try and make sure I do it right this time lol. Unfortunately.. the amp will have to be later and a battery now.. But is it completely necessary i get one of the monster batterys? or would any of the cheaper ones work. Yea.. prolly just gonna use my current one since its 2500rms @ 2 ohm (until someone buys it) then might have to upgrade but hopefully I can find cheaper or a good condition used one. Also need a battery to decrease my voltage drops.. so will def need to save for that first Btw im gonna get an AA Mayhem 18" If the amp your talking about doing 2500rms at 2ohm is the PA BAMF, then you would notice a huge difference buying a AQ2200. I'm willing to bet that BAMF is putting out about 1200w at 1ohm, max... You are terribly wrong.. first off its in my sig, the gothic series 5500w. very similar tho, and it definatly puts out 2k+ rms @ 2 ohms.. because I just fried the fuck out of my 2k rms subs. altho if i had time to finish makin the new box it prolly wouldnt of happened. But yea all you hear is good things about the aq2200 so it will definately be in the back of my mind, but I gotta make due with what I can for now. Im already tryin to sell the amp I have now. **If someone has great advice on a battery lmk. I understand ideal im gonna need a better more expensive battery, but I wanna know how low its safe to go (CHEAPER)** if you want a cheap battery, go to o rielly's and get a super start.its no super battery but it is better then some of the others. andd with 700 buck for amp and sub id get a aq hdc3 18 with the aq 2200. more cone area then 2 12's. but less coils. but sundown is always a good choice. or get 2 aq sd2.5 15's. or sa 15s. the choices are getting me all gitty inside. I appreciate the options, but I am getting an AA Mayhem 18" And I was thinkin a kinetik 1800. Hopefully thatd do some work. Maybe even used.. as long as it isnt used used used. Just pumped for it to start gettting warm here.. I know when winter comes back I wont be getting much use out of this system. I missed last summer here.. and came back for winter again.. so im pretty pumped.

  12. No hating, but you should be more specific about everything ur gonna be putting in and how many. Then everyone can help you better.
  13. Because.. I have plenty, and various sized wire left. So I dont need to know what im getting.
  14. if you saved up a couple hundred more you could get a btl 18 with the aq 2200d. but that's without wires and stuff I got the wires covered. How much are those aq amps.. and used isnt an issue with me, ill buy used. as long is it isnt years used. Already found some used subs.. dc and fi. but posters just love not putting and specs.. so i gotta figure stuff out.
  15. it says on the site its 2k rms and the xl is 1500rms O_O will do.
  16. Ok.. well say $600-700MAX spend limit Wiring is all done, so im looking just for a sub(s)/amp combo. SIZE ISNT AN ISSUE (dont have an extra battery but that can come in a later expense) And if ya could, a box design for the combo (making myself) Wanna do it right this time (shouldve the first time) and I want something nice and loud.. idk if I could get 2k rms but.. I was lookin at the dc lvl 5 18 that prolly costs a small fortune tho.
  17. This. I already got my leds set up just waiting for a box i ordered. I think I searched.. something like sound control led box.. idk it was really difficult to find one.
  18. I think you meant arrogance But nothing wrong with seeing if they will but when you start using loopholes to your ignorance of product usage than that's wrong. Warranties aren't there to protect the user from them selves. But to protect the user and company from defective products. I said what I said. I dont need another lecture about warranties.. lol seriously.. I already know this.. Ill have to when I can. I honestly dont think it was putting that much out tho. If I were a dealer/manufacturer, I wouldnt cover it. How is it their fault that you dont know how to tune an amp and make a proper box? Re-read your warranty and check what it says about you damaging the woofer. So no need to bash, it was my fault, but TECHNICALLY wasnt. ill attempt to fix the god damned subs. Please tell me where I "bashed" you. I just made a simple response and gave you advice on how to check your warranty. If you wanna get bashed, Ill do it...happily How wasnt that "technically" not your fault? Are you going to try to blame the amp, which you tuned? Why so hostile? Idc, go ahead ive been having an amazing day. But seriously no.. I can just tell it how it is. Ill say a guy named hdorre that lives in new york mugged me, stole my subs, ran them through a power plant, then gave them back to me, then took my wallet instead.
  19. Hey bud, I paid for the damn thing, if I wanna give it a shot ill give it a shot. So dont get butt hurt. Im not trying to screw over anyone, I feel that the amp shouldnt have done that considering the gain was still halfway down.. Also considering when it happened I was hardly playing them at what.. volume 10-15.. and they normally take alot more.. Legit enough for me.. They werent going through hell.. Kinda disappointed in the subs. Not to mention a few people on this site in the first place saying my amp wont even put out its full potential, and will prolly put out slightly less rms than the subs are capable of. User error is not covered in warranties. Go ahead and tell them that people on a forum told you it wouldn't put out full power so you thought it would be ok. I want to know what they say that just might do it though keep us updated on that I was just sayin there smartass.. Besides get off my ass man, holy shit. You must have a very large brain to hold so much ignorance. Like I said, they prolly wont cover it but it doesnt hurt to call and see.. Is that so wrong? Thats the thing.. 2500rms, but ive never came close to giving the amp full power.
