Yes it would be WAY louder, but the important thing is, you have a good electrical to back it up??? if you have, i would get at least a nice AQ1200.1 , you should improve a lot!!

i had the exact same problem my 2000 lexus 300 es came with a stock pioneer system with stock amp, i get engine noise when i rev engine, i ordered 2 ground noise isolaters from ebay and its said that they will take out the engine noise but my shipment will come in mail in 3 days but ill let u know how it goes.
