hey guys and gals! looking for a new amp, and ive got 200 pounds to spend, so about 300 bucks? plus shipping, of course!
looking for something around a thousand watts rms, at 2 ohms, no brand specific, but id love a rockford amp!

very true. were getting raped on everything over here atm.........
fuel, 6 pounds a gallon, even car audio prices are about a third higher over here, it takes the piss.......

im from the uk, our version of home depot is called B&Q, and they sell a full sheet of mdf (enough for a box, as you know) for about 17 pounds for a 1 inch thick sheet! cheap as chips!

i kinda wish i had gone for 1 inch mdf now, but im gunna double baffle mine to make that solid.....

actually, wood is a good place to start! what you planning on using? ive just built a box, similar specs to what yours in gunna have, and i used 18mm mdf, with a few braces.... its solid as a rock!

id take that wood back, and ask for a fresh sheet and do it yourself! those cuts are terrible, AND not the the sizes you specified, therefore, non satisfactory.

and team spb (also from the uk) uses all spl dynamics amps, and well, if you havent read his build thread, your crazy!

i dont think they do come with a bass remote, but you can get them.......
its no contest, spl amps are fantastic......... and if its more powerful, why are you even contemplating the jbl?

I'm going to be installing a single 15" AA Havoc soon and I want to run it as close to it's RMS as possible or slightly more, at the moment anyway. the amps I'm looking at are the JBL 14001 and the SPL Dynamics ICE 1500D.
I've previously had two JBL amps and I've been happy with theirr performance, I'm just wondering how the SPL amps compare to the JBL? the SPL will give me 280 more watts of power, according to the specs but at a different impedance, I think the JBL puts out 1200 Watts at 4 Ohms and the SPL puts out 1480 Watts at 1 Ohm, which would you guys recommend for a single Havoc?
ive heard nothiing but good things about spl dynamics amps...... clean, elegant, and POWERFUL.

see, high octane fuel over here is 103 octane..... and normal is like 97..... odd. BUT, we do pay 6 quid a gallon (like 11 bucks) =/

STEP 1: TWEETER PODS!
alright guys, heres my first task! i didnt document the start of this bit of the build, but here what ive got!
trip to halfords to get some supplies! (fibreglass tissue, resin, and hardener!) and then on with the days work!
well, firstly i removed the panels from the doors, drilled out the hole for the tweeter, hot glued the flush mouth in, stretched t-shirt material and resined it! unfortunately, i didnt get pics of the first few steps, i wasnt anticipating doing one of these, as my system just wont compare to most of yours, but what the hell, im having fun! all resined up!
and the other, with a layer of fibreglass matting!
and the tweeter test fitted
for my first time ever using fibreglass, im super happy so far! need some filler tomorrow, and then i can smooth them both off.

Hey guys and Gals! i think its time to show off (well, i say show off, theres not alot to boast about, but im chuffed with what ive got so far, and my plans are gunna be awesome!) my system, and my car on here! my car: 51 plate (2001) vauxhall corsa 1.2 (yes, a whole 1200ccs of pure power!
) called jessica! shes not much to brag about. slow as a carthorse, and a bit beat up in places, but i still love her! shes my first car, and i couldnt be happier! PLANS!: 2 dc audio level 4 10s, rockford amp, XS power battery under the hood aswell as one in the rear, upgrade the big 3 (doing it 2mrow!), new runs of 0awg under the car, new CDT components upfront, as well as a pair of 3 inch drivers in each a pillar. sound good?

i do my reasearch before i lay this much money into anything
im happy, and ive been eyeing up dc audio for a while..... they not only sound good, they look totally hot aswell!I'm interested in what you decided to go with.

tbh, hes been nothing but helpful, answering lots of questions for over an hour, and he seems very genuine to me....... my two cents
I'm not saying he's not a good person. Or even a good rep.
I'm sure he takes care of his costumers well, if not he wouldn't still be a rep.
Just seems pushy in threads. You don't see any other reps on this site pushing products.
If he wasn't making money off of it, and just promote a product he loves, fine. But its like he's pimping DC as posted above. Before long people will get tired of it. I've seen it on other forums, and they loved theproduct just like this site loves DC.
i see exactly what your saying. he hasnt been pushy though, not slagged any of my other choices off ect ect, just give me the facts, and thats what made my mind up, the product is perfect for what i need

MAJOR UPDATE!
story first, details in a min
i was browsing ebay, hoping to stumble across a bargain, and boy did i find one! i found a certain sub, in fantastic condition, in a gorgeously made box (a bit tatty, but the box is superb!) 
45s, angled port, correct dimensions, correct tuning (32 Hz) and bloody good materials used......... and the sub?
BOOM! Fi SSD 10! dual 4 ohms, 800watts rms! BEAST!
now i know its no beat compared to some subs on here, but i just did a quick test, on about 200 watts rms, and i got roof, window, and DOOR FLEX!!! 
:D !!
heres a quick comparison pic to my old, fuel audio STA 10........ monster motor!
im chuffed, absolutely and completely chuffed........ oh, and the best part? I DIDNT PAY A PENNY FOR THE SUB OR BOX! i swapped for a set of bucket seats, that cost virtually nothing! JACKPOT!
now, what amp to buy, with the money ive saved!
