  1. This is lookin sick man! This is a sweet build/fix to watch as is all your projects . Major props on doing all that with all them amps still wired in there! :good: I'd definatly be a little scared working with fiberglass and body filler around all that, but looks like you got that covered nicely! Guess that's why your a pro, Keep it up can't wait to see how this turns out!!

thanks man!! and dammit, i read your entire sig, i couldn't stop....it was 100% impossible to stop my eyeballs once i started hahahah

Haha....Score!! Dont be surpized if I add your comment into my sig, I think it would make everyone else feel a little better about themselve's.

Dude that alt is very sexy! I think I like the DC power I have on my truck justa little bit more but I'm biased :P. Honestly I just like that bare billet look over chrome or cast iron or whatever. Lookin good can't wait to see :shok: MOAR!!

  3. Steve BTW that was very kind of you to block out the brand of that "1200watt" amp you benched, but eventually the gloves need to come off. It's only fair that they do what they claim, I mean how many honest companies lose money because people buy these amps with inflated numbers expecting to get the same kinda juice for a third the price? I understand if you dont, because you dont seem like the kind of guy who goes out of his way to talk bad about someone unless provoked but at the same time this is something people should know....just sayin. Anyway keep up the good work at SMD cant wait to see some more tests!!

  4. I have a couple new RF power sieries I'd be willing to send in t4004.4, t600.4, t1000.4, t1500.1, t25001bdcp but I'm sure steve has access to any one of those and wouldnt need to borrow one if he was interested in putting one to the test. I'm interested in seeing what any one of those can do! Honestly just interested in seeing results of any amps out there, just so we know who is who when it comes to BS power claims!

  5. trying to power a power plant under there lol and ya there are a few stashed away hahah the build log is in my signature man check it out lol

Haha...a few, good one! Also, duh should have noticed the build log definatly checkin out another crew cab with an 8.1 you just dont see many of those.

    (back to the build)

I say this alot but Holy Hh!t that's lookin bad assss!! Gotta get me some of that heatshrink, because that looks legit! Along with the rest of the build lovin the bracing and the wall and talk about money in the bank! of batteries that is lol...keep it up sky high both of you!

  6. Holy shit that looks bad ass!! I didnt think there was a way to fit another alternator on these 8.1's, because the water pump is different than the 5.3l and 6.0l you cant stack them how most people do. Looks like you found a way. So what is this power plant powering? Also, I couldnt tell in these pictures but did you have one or two batteries under the hood?

  7. Nice custom distrobution block rusty! I have a 03' sierra with an 8.1L(which takes up like the whole engine compartment) so its cool to see how other people run wires under the hood of these GM's. I've only got 4 runs of 0awg and i am having trouble finding places to run cable put fuses. Major props for your configuration under the hood, and in the truck! Both of these builds are looking good fella's, cant wait to see how they turn out!!

  8. I also showed this to my friend with the chevelle and he was just discusted and pissed someone could do such a hack job on that classic car and charge him for it. Then he felt alot better seeing your making it right. Also got him motivated to get his chvelle higher up in his priority's, hopefully soon he will finish his so we can get to work on a system for him:)

  9. Sick work as always steve! Your doing the right thing for this american beauty. This is great because my buddy has a 70' chevelle and when he gets done with his restoration he wants to put a nice clean system in it and I will probably be stealing alot of ideas from this rebuild when I go to do his system. Just curiouse what is the final speaker layout going to be like? I think you mentioned you were going to replace the door panels does that mean you are going to get rid of the random speakers in the doors?
