SSA Dcon 12"
I really like that sub!! How would I go about measuring my trunk though?
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/downloads/enclosure-designs/category/12-dcon.html
here are some cut outs for the box
measure the width and height of the opening of your trunk, then the width, height and depth of inside of your trunk

I read that you take the maximum size of the recommended sealed enclosure for the sealed chamber, but how do you calculate volume of the ported chamber? Also is tuning the port the same as a regular ported enclosure?

are these good crossovers?

You need to use the net volume when finding the needed port length, not the gross volume. Otherwise, you can make a situation where the port would need to take up the entire box and leave you with no chamber volume.
Use the net volume you want to find port length, find the disacement of the ports, then work backwards to find the dimensions needed to give you that net volume after sub and port displacements.
Ok thanks again, I've got this port thing down now and I realized that I don't have the space for ported. This is what I'm probably going to build its sealed 5.30 cubes after sub displacement

I just ran the dimensions on the design you just posted because I knew the port area looked too large to be tuned that low with a 21" length. The box you have right now is 6ft^3 tuned to 41hz.
35"x33"x14" = 7.63ft^3 before displacements
4.75"x12.5"x20.75" = .713ft^3, 1.426ft^3 for both
Subtract .25ft^3 for sub displacement, and you're right around 6ft^3
A 6ft^3 box with a pair of 21" long 12.5"x4" ports give you a 41hz tuning.
I just done it by hand and my length came out to be 27.676
this is where i got the 21.45" for the length,

not to get off topic but how did you make that sub in sketchup?
It was already made, I just downloaded a enclosure design from SSA and erased the box then imported it into my sketchup
Looking for some advice on a nice pair of 12's
