Listen, you guys need to understand something. I dont want to have to ban anyone from my site. Some of you have been here a long time and have gotten along very nicely with everyone. I appreciate that and it makes this place what it is...
but the problem is, we have to have certain rules in order for certain reasons. Not because we want to be dicks about it, but because sometimes you have to do things to keep the order. This is a very large website and forum.
If you break a forum rule on MOST forums, you will get banned with no warning and no explanation. Here, i encourage the mods to try to give fair warning and POLITELY ask you to stop doing whatever it is you are doing if it is in fact breaking the rules here. I dont want to just drop the hammer, i feel like its fair if we are SLIGHTLY LENIENT. Well that leads me to the next thing. Some of you guys throw fits like little girls when you are POLITELY or maybe just asked like a normal person to stop. You proclaim that "this site sucks" or i "hate this fucking place" when you get angry........as if it is our fault you broke a simple rule. Why do that? I can assure you that if you are cool to us, we will return the favor. If i have to ask multiple times to knock off the bullshit, and you dont want to listen, then of course we will remove you from the board. Again i dont want to do that. Just chill out, relax......and if you accidently, purposely, or otherwise break a rule and are asked to stop, just be a man and stop. No need to go on and on about how much i suck and how bad the site, that you have been a member of for years, all the sudden sucks too.
i dont need to get into what motivated this, but i just cant believe some of you who i actually really like......show different colors when extremely angry - over your own actions.
no need for it. that is all.
I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO YOU ABOUT A INDECENT AND A MOD OVER USING THERE PRIVILEGES! PLEASE PM ME! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME...
sorry bro, my PM's are turned off. I dont take emails on this subject either. Please take up your problems with the mod who you have an issue with. I have no idea what your problem is.....i dont even want to know. Im probably not going to over rule them.
and that is bad business.. i dont have any issues with anyone but you should hold the mods accountable.. even the police have people that keep them inline when necessary.. love the site bro and most mods are very helpful but just like a cop you get those that will abuse their power from time to time..

free probably........but my problem is im not as open to meeting strangers as i used to be. At this point i have to watch my back because my kindness is starting to have negative affects. I dont know that i can trust people the way i used to after some of the antics i have seen unfold in the last few months. People wonder why i try to lay low and hide out but i have my reasons. Not that i dont trust YOU, im just saying in general, i have to change my ways a little.
totally understandable but with that said i would love to have the opportunity to get some help and can assure you it would be respectfully done and very much appreciated..

They sound great. I'm sure they could put out some good SPL #'s if they were in a ported box, but I listen to rock/metal so no ported for me.
Any updates yet.. did u get them in the truck yet.. looking good so far and would love to now how they sound..

How old are they? What model year? Condition? How much does the guy want for them?
They are a couple yrs old but he wrecked his truck after only 6 months of using them and they have been in the box ever since.. they look to be in great condition and everything was installed at car audio innovations (still has receipt) so they shouldn't be abused in any way.. he said make him an offer thats why im asking whats fair and whats the most i should pay.. thanks for your help

How much is a fair price for some hertz hsk 165xl's in original box and originally purchased from car audio innovations in Roseville CA.. someone is trying to sell them to me locally and i wanted to know whats fair and whats the absolute most i should pay for them.. any help would be greatly appreciated

Just wire + from the front batt to + on the rear batt with 1/0, then ground the second batt in the rear. Fuseholders on both ends of the wire and you'll be good to go
Do both the fuses have to be the same or do you need a larger one up front

had the same problem on my pioneer hu.. solder a wire to the end of one of your rca plugs off the deck and ground it to the chassis of the head unit.. fixed my problem and i had the worst whinning and shut off popping noise ever

So if i have 1 inverted and 1 not but both on their own amps the inverted 1 needs to have to wires reversed to keep both subs in phase..

i have a escalade and i have 1 set of 6.5 componets in front doors(crossovers,tweeters,woofers) and 1 set of componets in the rear doors and a set of 6x9s in the cargo area.. i have 1 4ch amp.. i have both sets of componets on the front 2 ch and the 6x9's on the rear 2 ch.. the amp is 2 ohm stable and puts out more power at 2ohm so i want to know how to wire BOTH sets of componets into the front 2 chs to have them on a 2 ohm load instead of 4ohm load... thx

i have mine wired @2 ohm... the speaker dont know just the amp...
ok cool so what the exact way to wire them at the amp to make sure im running them in a 2ohm load.. thx

it does do 100w rms at 14.6v but im not running 14+v.. so the amp only does 75w rms at 12.6.. i want the speakers louder so i want to wire them different to get the extra power at 12.6v that you get if they were on a 2ohm load if that makes sense.. its a 4ch and the 2 rear ch are running 2 ohm 6x9's and i have 2 sets(4 speakers) of componets on the front 2 ch so i dont want to under power them so much.. im a noob so any advice will b appreciated

If i have 2 sets of componets the are 100 watts rms each at 4ohms and im running them off 2chs that only rms 75w at 12.6 but 100w at 14.6 at 4ohm.. if i bridge them at 2ohms so i can get alot more out of the speakers will it kill them since they r 4ohm speakers.. if not then whats the best way to wire them.. thanks and please help

UPDATE.. Using a wire and soldering it the rca stopped all the whine and the turn on thump..Thanks so much for all the help guys..

I had the same thump, it was only untill i redid my remote wire that it went away.. also that was after i blew my amp up... so it could of possibly been the amp. But I am more sure that it was the remote wire that was causing the amplifier/subs to turn off after the head unit which creates the thump.
Off my pioneer i have 2 differnet blue wires.. one is solid and the other has a white tracer

Take a length of wire....take one end of wire strip it back enough to wrap around rca.take other end and touch chassis of deck if engine nosie goes away.afix end with ring terminaland find screw hole to mount that and maybe sap bit of solder
Anyone here familiar with this pioneer wiring harness.. it has a black wire and a yellow wire w black tracer and they both go into a lil black box and come out the other side.. well i bought the deck used and the person cut the black box off the wiring harness.. so i can still access the 2 wires but its missing what i guess is the noise filter.. do i need a new pioneer harness w this on it or i can still use this one and also still be able to fix my issue.. thanks
