I would also run DBAN to erase any corupted files on the HDD you really want a fresh slate to work with it will take awhile depending on how large your HDD is...and once you have done the DBAN and yous till have problems installing the OS,your HDD is more then likely bad.Alright i'll check it out tomorrow. Playing battlefield tonight. Lol
Whoa, whoa killer. Don't make him go wipe the whole drive in order to get Windows to boot.
He will have to do a re-install since vista failed to load the new install. just because he can see the vista loading screen means nothing unless it installed correctly... Also no need to use any other program to wipe your drive windows has format built in. Okay so I have built a computer with all compatible parts and go to install Vista Ultimate (old I know) and i get to the install screen (files, updates, etc) and once it got to the "completing installtion" step the computer froze up. I let it sit all night and upon waking up it was on the same screen/step and had made no progress all night.
I go to restart the computer and try to resolve the problem but once it restarts, at this point it recognized an OS on the HDD and began to boot Vista - ya know the black screen that has a rectangular box at the bottom with the green block things scrolling through it and "Microsoft Corporation" below that. After that screen it gives me the colorful (blue and green) vista screen reading "Please wait..." and an error that says "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unknown error. Windows installation cannot proceed. Please restart computer to continue installation." Or something very similar to that.
Every time I go to restart it just gives the same error, even when i try to boot from the disc. I talked to Microsoft for half an hour with no prevail and they just told me it's most likely a HDD problem. So I come to yall for any sort of advice since I don't have extra blank hard drives just laying around.
P.M. me and I will give you my number.. I will walk you through the steps to get your computer running

you will be fine with glue, screws, and clamps imo. No need to add weight. Just use the clamps to hold the freshly glued wood together while you pre drill holes and screw the wood together, then you can take the clamps off.
I don't think he has clamps that's why he asked if screws and the weight of the subs would be enough
-
I'm in the process of glueing double layers of 3/4 mdf for my wall and just wanted to know if
Glue and multiple screws would suffice instead of clamps...
I o not have 2 clamps...
But once I glued and screwed them together. I'm putting about 170 lbs of weight on it laying flat.
I'm using the subs as weight.
Would this work out well?
And to glue the sides of the box and hold them there. I'm goin to be using 90 degree brackets.
Would that be enough to hold?
Thanks in advance,
Larry
Yes that's fine. If your putting 170 lbs on it flat that's just as good as clamps

You will have to re-install check the bios settings for the hard drive. If it's set to raid ahci change it to something else and try installing again...

this is a semi relevant question so i hope it's not a threadjack, but has anybody heard of or used solder pellets/slugs?
i seen a guy use them in a video i saw once. did a search and this is what i came up with.
I have only seen them used on stuff that is solid on one end..
-
I would solder it's easy. It's not hard to learn
Edit 412 CVX Beat me to it

set subsonic filter to around 70-80hz so you can pick up some high notes like in put on by jeezy
I listened to that song all the time on my 12's and when I got the new amp and 18 it did not sound as good... I definitely have them turned up to much.... Thanks guy's for the help
-
100hz lpf?
Don't think that sub would like anything over 70.
So your saying not too turn the LPF up past 70. I have no idea
-
Subsonic is set a few hertz below box tuning, LPF is usually set by ear to where you like it and think it sounds best, setting lpf would be to start at 100hz and adjust up or down to your liking.
Ok thanks I had them turned up a quarter and I was not sure.. So thanks for helping
-
What size sub and is the box ported, sealed, fourth, or sixth order?
It's a solo x 18 Ported and im not sure what the box it tuned to. I would say 32 -36
-
How do you set the LPF and Sub sonic filter on a amp. should I turn them up or keep them down
-

Ok. So I bought a wiring harness after fidgeting around with all the wires and low & behold it doesn't work.
1st off it has 3 "plugs" and idk what the 3rd one is for.
2nd the 2 other female "plugs" dont fit with the 2 male "plugs" that are connected to the computer.
and 3rd I tried to just match where the wires from the kit turned into & they still don't match up.
So now i'm pissed & thinking about having to resort to going to best buy & let them deal with it.
I would take it to a real audio shop......

You got it from an infection download MalwareBytes and run it. Then if you don't have any virus protection I recommend the free version of Avast make sure you don't have more than one anti virus installed because they will fight over the infection and it will cause you a ton of problems.. also avast is not bloated down and will not slow your computer down like Avg,Norton,McAfee..
