  1. I bought myself my first car, a 1995 Toyota Tercel. It runs great I just have to fix a few things; new ignition, and fan relay fuse.

So far I've stripped out the inside except for the dash and I've cleaned up the carpet.

Audio wise I wanted to do a wall build but I don't think I can afford it, plus it will be a daily driver and I might need the back seats.

I'm thinking of just doing a trunk build sealing the trunk from the cabin, just an idea.

This is gonna be really slow, but I'm hoping to start looking for audio equipment soon.

Current state of the car before power washing the inside.

  2. I would not get that setup. Give me a maximum budget and vehicle that the system will be going in, I'll try and help.

Budget would be around $600 and it'll going in the cab of an 01 Dodge Ram ext.cab

    2 DC Lv2 15s

    1 AQ750

    1 Wiring Kit ( I believe the AQ750 accepts 4awg)

That should be around $400. Then I would buy materials for the enclosure, your going to build your first ported box, congrats! ;) that should be another $100 or so. Then with the $100 you have left, buy two pairs of component sets, doesn't have to be anything amazing for your first system.

Looks good but 2 15s is a little to big for me, maybe replace them with 2 level2 12s or 1 level3 10?

  3. Well we are telling you how to get it man! Just cause an ampsays 3000 watts doesn't mean a damn thing! I guarantee you'd crap your pant if you saw what even 500 true watts could do in a good set up man, trust is here, if we say something is "desecnt" or"alright" it would most likely be the loudest thing you've ever heard haha

That's why I'm here asking. I don't wanna get that combo If it's too much for a decent first build.

  4. Nah dude don't get this. For the money get a kicker cvr and a little hifonics or some other maxxonics amp for cheap, 500 watts rms will be really loud for your first system! The box is where it's at. I bet you can get it all for $200, for 300 you can get two kicker cvr's and a crunch pza 1500 (700-800 watts rms) I'd go with that for your budget to be honest

I'll look into that, thanks for the info.

I'm all ears so keep the info coming.

  5. I was looking up prices on AudioSavings and found ths Sub/Amp Combo, now I don't know alot about car audio so I thought this would be a good place to ask a few questions.

    1. If this deal is good would I need to get a better set of speakers(+amp) to upgrade from the stock speakers I have now, which I think are blown.

    2. Will I need to buy any extra accessories, or upgrade my battery/alternator?

If I need new speakers+amp my budget is around $300, If you know any good combos for them.

    Thanks to anyone who helps.

I'm new to everything audio, so take it easy on me.
