[Is it normal to hear "sub noise"? Zv4 12]

Post some pictures. What kind of sound is it? Wooshing of air or like a scrape or clicking sound?

If its air, you may have a leak around your sub. Try taping around the edges to seal it up really well and see if the sound goes away.

I have the 8 gauge wiring running through two small holes in the back of the box...I didn't silicon them shut could that be it maybe?

Sounds similar to have it play in free air...you know the sound it makes when you turn it louder?

Also I didn't tighten the screws down all the way tightly, should I try that? (the mounting screws on the woofer)

Silicon where you have the speaker wire coming out of the box, then tighten up the mounting screws. Try those first. Then come back.

I guess we could discuss whether deadly force was needed, but if he did go for the cops gun and there was a witness then this is pretty simple to figure out.

that's mildly disputed. The shots are on the inside of his right arm. And if you view the autopsy, do you run at a cop like that with your palms out? Is the inside of your arms exposed when you run?

The only way he could've been shot on his inner arms or thumb the way he was is if he was doing either 1 of 2 things. Running AWAY from the cop, or turned facing the cop with his hands up

When you run do you keep your arms flat against your body or do you move them in a back and forth motion exposing your inner arm multiple times while doing so?

I know when I run my forearm goes a little higher than my midsection which would expose the underside of it as I was running. Every other wound looks to match as if Brown could have ran towards Wilson. The location of the wounds don't mean a whole lot, you need to be looking at the angle.

I have 2 lv3 12s in a trunk on a DC 2k. Love them. Tickles the jugular with some Psych Morrison playing. I don't know if they would out perform an XL 12". Soon going to fire it into the cabin and seal it.

I bought my DD-1 when they first came out and only used it 2-3 times but it was so easy to use.

I just sold mine thinking I would never use it again but now I'm upgrading amps and I refuse to use them until I tune them with a DD-1.

Make you feel good when you have people asking you how you get your system so loud and clear without the static and distortion, always tell them I used a DD-1 by Steve Meade.

He had (4) DC Level3 12s for sale... I trade a DD-1 + cash for one. I did not have any feedback so I offered to send everything first. I sent it the week before Thanksgiving and he sent the sub the weekend of Thanksgiving. The sub was in prefect condition! No hassles at all. I do however feel bad the DD-1 I sent is not getting a signal readin on his amp. I used the DD-1 right before I shipped it to ensure I had my amp tuned correctly. I dont know if its a mechanical malfunction or something else but buying from him was easy. Always reply fairly quickly when I was asking questions. Im planning to even buy another sub from him. Awesome guy! Good Service! +1!

Terminals came in Monday, did my Big 3(pics later). Having problems with the radio wiring so I'm hooking a switch to the radio.

Going to put the carpet and panels back in once the radio is hooked up completely and start making a design/frame for a center console.

Right now I'm looking around for 2 pairs of 6.5s for my doors and rear deck, I currently have 1 pair of http://www.amazon.com/Laboratories-F252-5-25-Inch-Speaker-injection/dp/B000O554JS in the doors.

Picked up my ignition today, tomorrow I'll be putting that in and hopefully I get everything I order yesterday sometime tomorrow.

My ignition problem is fixed, I had to replace the electrical I bought from a junkyard for $10 compared to $92 new.

Cut and soldered my Big 3 0awg wires, once my terminals come in the mail(hopefully tomorrow) I'll get that in and put in the radio and get some power to my amp.

I've never heard a trunk system from the inside so I'm not sure how I'm gonna like it.

My plans are to seal the trunk from the cabin with the subs and port facing trunk hatch. I'm still looking around at all the other builds here on the forums to get some ideas on what to do.

Edit: I have been thinking about this alot but I listen to dubstep alot. Nearly everything i listen to while driving or just jamming it's dubstep unless I'm with certain people.

Would a SQ build be better or heavy bass build. I occasionally listen to hip-hop, rap but not often. Which ever I go for I want it to be loud with some boom.

I've heard nothing but good things (except the price) for viper as far as car alarms. A little expensive but, worth the money. One day I'll upgrade to a viper.

I just took a look at the site and I'll probably end up going with one of those viper alarms.

Better safe than sorry.

Any Directed products alarm will work. They do Clifford, Viper, Avital and many more. I run an Avital 2 way paging alarm, and I am very happy with it. Keyless, remote start, and 2 way paging, it was 350 installed. I can't complain about the price or performance.

As far as your audio concerns, make sure the car is mechanically right before you start doing anything audio. DON'T be the guy that's got a slammin system that has to bump in his driveway because he chose to buy an amplifier rather than the fuel pump he needed. Just take your time and piece together the system one item at a time.

The car itself is in great running shape, I just have to replace the ignition.

I'll be doing my Big 3 and buying 1/0 power n ground before buying my amps and what not.

I also need to look into a car alarm once I start getting stuff installed. There has been a theft problem at my place of work with someone I know that had an audio system.
