Lol dude you obviously have no idea what your are talking about man. Where did you hear that genetalization from? Also again, both of you failed to read my post, and you the 2nd one to. I can sit and with it at 33 no problem as long as its not to hard of bass, no problem at all. If I am moving it's a different story.
If it works at 33, that does not mean it is not cliping, it sounds like you have some serious cliping going on when you start driving which could come from a dieing alternator. I had a issue with mine where voltage droped as rpm when up. For me it turned out to be a broken diode in the alt. I'd check your voltage as your engines rpm increases and see if that's the issue. And chill with the atitude, people here are just trying to help you.

Socky did you fail to real what I wrote, I can play songs up to 33 no problem when sitting, but when i drove it I couldnt.
Truth is, you probably are cliping the subs. If it's a kenwood hu most of them start cliping at 26 out of 35. General rule is to never turn your hu above 75% of it's maximum output.
-
I think you should get a box custom made or build one yourself. Those prefab boxes tend to be tuned very high and almost never match the specs of any subwoofer you use with it.

I've heared that skar audio is coming out with a vvx-8 is that it?

I'd put some JB Weld on that bish, or even if you have a real welder, or know someone, just put a bead on it.
sorry... this is a joke right? the baskets are aluminum right? so thats pretty hard to weld. plus wouldnt it fuck up the glue, surround, or even light the paper cone on fire if you got a good spark?
i dont weld so i could be wrong but thats my take on it.
get some pics. it might be just fine. but a new basket and recone wont come cheap.
not really any harder to weld than steel, you just need a welder that many people probably dont have. id say use jb weld. its probably your best bet

id say number 7, iv always like the mtm designs. less drivers the better I think. multiple drivers playing the same thing tends to add colouration from what iv experienced. either that or a large two way bookshelf design.
