it really depends onw hat subs and how good of a electrical you have, lets say you have a DD99z or whatever, that can take 10000kw of abuse, you would need a ton of electrical..
give us some info, car, electrical, subs *if no subs, what do you plan on going with*
what are your goals... with out the basic info, we cant help you, and you will just get fanboy/nuthuggers in here arguing about the shit

Well there is some guys up in canada running 34,500 watts to a single xl spl 18
Gives you an idea of what the xl spl can do if you set it up properly and you know what your doin.

Read my pm. get d1 coils run at 2 ohm daily for the ddz1 and .5 for burps/competitions
ddz1 amp kicks @2ohms 12v setup approx 3405rms will it bear? it gonna be over power for sub?

if its for burping 1 sub it will be fine, if its for daily id suggest a pair of subs.

id suggest setting ur gains a bit lower or stepping up to the lvl 5 sub.
is TEAM VERSION XL 15's == lvl 5 sub?

Since when are 2 Type Rs the perfect sq subs?
The DC XL SHOULD sound better and get louder, but it all depends on the install.
i m getting clean n loud sound thats y i used word perfect sounding for me ,i didnt said its universal,always depends on box tuning one have mine tuned gud for type R..
