  1. Here is a couple of things to check:

    1. Did you turn off sound check on itunes? (sound check will change the level of the tracks to a normalized level and the tracks will no longer be calibrated)

    2. When you ripped the tracks off the disk did you use the highest bit rate available? (Low bit rates will cause distortion in some cases)

Please check every component down the signal path or test the DD-1 on another set-up to verify if defective.

You can send the DD-1 in for us to check and service if a problem exists.

thanks for the comments every one i really appreciate yalls time just hooked it up to a buddys system and it does what its supposed to do it doesnt show clipping then you turns it up and the clipping light comes on when turned to high as the dd-1 should so im guessing my clarion eqs746 has an internal issue but yes i made sure to rip the files using the loss-less like it says in the manual

  2. subsonic is all the way down? that should be up. same with the frequency. You want to let everything through. did you change any bass or treble settings or anyhting like that? have you checked to make sure loud isnt on or anything like that? if you have nothing turned up and getting distortion its not at the amp. Its in the signal to it.

yeah i dont have loud on the ipod its on off for eq. and the clarion is on flat..

also straight from the manual says

    3. Turn the crossover frequency control to it’s

    highest frequency setting

    4. If you have an infrasonic filter (sometimes

erroneously called Subsonic filter) control or

switch, set it to it’s lowest frequency setting or

    “off”

  3. hey every one have a quick question well i was having issues with my bass amp the other day and when to reset the gains with my dd-1 on track 40hz -15 db and it said there was distortion so i backed the gains down on my eq and it still said distortion while it was picking up the signal so i hooked up my mids amp and turned the eq on the amp off and the gains all the way down and any time i play any of the tracks 0db 1khz or 40hz it still said i had distortion any time it showed the signal. i only have a ipod hooked up to the eq and then rcas from the eq to the amps mids and highs also bass..

also when i first got my dd-1 i set the gains correctly with the same settings same ipod and amp and it showed no distortion when i first set the gains..any ideas? id be willing to send it back to get it checked out ?? maybe its my ipod or eq?

  4. I don't think it will matter cuz I seen some vidz of softop jeeps hitting 160+ with ported boxes.

The guy at the car audio store i go to says that having a soft top is like having all the windows down in a car its just not going to sound good. Maybe because he doesn't want to take the extra work and build a ported box for me?

if i were you i would do a ported box if your style of music.. just me.. and its not completely true on the whole opening all of your windows being the soft top does hold some pressure although not as well as a hard top (duh)

  5. man o man this sucks i was watching your youtube video over the amp give away when i read that smddd1 code put it in then read this darn it was going to ask for a signature but it says already shipped damm steave your too fast for me :) could have saved 10 bucks o well next time :0

    sorry bro!

but on the bright side, that code still works and you got upgraded 2nd day shipping.....so instead of you saving them money, you just gave it to them to get it faster LOL! No big deal...and sorry im too fast today, orders been coming in and going out within minutes since 6am this morning

its all good its a hell of alot better then waiting 2-3 days to process the order but the bad part is now im stuck at the window waiting for the fedex truck to come lol
