Just be careful with your gains. Btw if i was you just get one more lvl 3 since you already got it. But if not AQ hdc3s are loud as shit if all you want is loudness thats what i run. And their cheap for what they can do.
hdc3 15s???? i do have 1 dc level three but its not in the greatest shape so i dont know... lol and i was lookin at maybe getting a highfonics amp because i really dont have the money for the 2k

If you want something louder I'm going to say go ported. If you want an enclosure with good response, make streets designed so. I'm assuming you're comparing to a prefab ported enclosure. Hit up RAM Designs.
well i always have good luck makein sealed boxs, but ive never ran stuff as good as dc, i just want to be louder then those kickers used to be

i'm personally gonna probably do 2 level 3 15's, in the right box with the right power the level 3's can get dirty.
i really like the way sealed boxs sound just because its a tight harder hit even though that the ported are louder... so im thinkin if i do the level threes ill do a sealed box

i already got a battery for the back, and all the wire i just need the subs, and a amp, i already have the mdf to build the box, just cant make up my mind on the woofers, IT ALL LOOKS SO GOOD!

Ok so im wanting to build a awsome system, something that will put out some good spl, but my budget is around 800, its going in a ext cab s10, i was gonna run one level 4 15, then i was thinking a xl 15, but i was thinkin i could probly get somethin sweet as far as two tens or 12s, basically im wanting opions on what you guys think i should do... i cant make up my mind

BIG 3- upgraded wiring----use 0ga from alt to battery positive, 0ga from battery ground to chassis, and 0ga ground from alt to chassis. 3 steps= BIG 3
Upgraded front battery and additional battery in the back.
These electrical upgrades should get you by for 2k without needing an upgraded alternator to start with. I am running a DC 2k and 175.4 with a XS d3400 up front and a d375 in the back with little to no voltage drop.
As for a box I would go 3.5-4ft3 after displacements with 17in2 of port per ft3.
ok well as far as the cubes for the box go i know how to build but im completly lost when it comes to porting could someone maybe do a box calculator for me??
and as far as batterys go its not a problem for me i work at autovalue so ill just get another red top or something

im looking at getting the 2k so i was thinkin i could prolly get away with a bigger alt.
im running a AQ2200D @ .7 on stock 160 amp alt and a D3400
if you wanna do the alt first thatd be best

ok cool thanks again, and really its not hard to beet the 15 kicker comps? lol ive just done little audio stuff but that and a MTX ts 85 is probly the loudest things ive ever had but then again, ive never been to any competions or anything to know any better, and you really cant tell a difference on youtube inless its like a couple of 18s or something rediculous lol, i have a feeling after this is all said and done im gonna be amazed

hmm ok ill look in to it, what kind of amp would i be looking at, and i got 4 gauge wire right now would i need to upgrade to 0 or do you think ill be fine, i figure since im only usein 12ft of 4 gauge from the battery to the amp ill be fine right?

well it was re coned but the kid just bought it he said, he didnt know much about it and it only has one new lead both voice coils work fine so i figured it would be safe. how much would the XLs be, im on limited buget just because im rebulinding a 79 camaro and fixing my 75dodge mudding truck, but ive always tried to have a good system but im to the point that i wanna get as loud as possible, but not drop thousands into it, i would like to spend right around 400 for subs, and ill just slowly save for a amp i mean i would even consider tens if they would be loud enough
