  1. allright i just looked up how to do that so i will do that tomarrow. i appreciate the help. just hope my subs are okay.

you're welcome! type R's will take a good bit of abuse, so you'd be hard pressed to clip one to death in a short time a that little power, now if you has a 1000 to each then maybe lol

I have the same sub set up, dual mrp -m500's and type r's and i'll also second that. these type r's can take some serious pounding. I still need to get a dd-1 but they are currently just tuned by ear and they pound, never had any weird smells emit. They really scream on some decaf. :drinks: they flex my mirror and windows on just 500 watts each, not bad at all i think.

  2. i find myself doing the same thing, getting too comfortable used to a relationship.

Btw the dick to chick ratio at a ke$ha concert is about 1 dick to 200 vaginas so you should get yourself some ke$ha tickets.

    LOLLOLOLOL xD

*edit - changed to => too lol

me three been under a rock for about 7 years now, its work , home, PS3,work, work on cars stereo and so on...I feel out of place when i go out.

  3. Hello i am new name is Jason.I thought i would share my build....lol i know the equipment isnt up to your alls standers but it sounds good....sorry about no pics i still havent figured out how to upload them to this forum...lmao

I am open to advise it has been about ten years sence my last build.the equipment is all boss audio the subs are 15'' 156 4 ohm dvc phantoms, the amp is a boss phantom ph5000d... specs from boss says that the subs rms is 1250w each and peak is 2500w. Amp spec sheet says it is 5000w @ 1 ohms...i am sure these specs are over rated but still like to show off the work...all wiring is 4 gauge i am also using a boss 18f capsator... no trouble with the lights dimming anymore..lol got that fixed...going to hook a clamp to the amp to see what kind of power it is producing i am sure that the specs are off would love to know how far off they are...lmao let me know what u think

where are the pics, lets see. i don't think any of bosses products are cea compliant , i used to have a single boss l12 , the best sub boss makes and it hit hard but was no comparison to even my type r's i have now. I would slowly upgrade to better equipment as i will be doing in the near future, stay away from boss, legacys, lanzar, power acoustik etc. look into brands like sundown, dc audio, american bass, fi and so on.

  4. went to vegas and found them in a liquor store , got six before hitting the night life up and damn do they keep you up, i remember still going strong at 6 a.m. they all taste like shit including the lemonade one. Another thing was the nasty hangover and sick feeling in your stomach the whole day after, but i would proably do it all over again =@

  5. Im going to be honest, those Type-Rs do well in sealed enclosures. I had 2 of them (12's) in a 2000 mustang and it got loud throughout a very wide range, 28-60ish hz sounded really good. Just my opinion here, but I don't see a proper 'removable box fitting in there for 2 12's. You could build in the trunk, but are you ready for a permanent enclosure?

thanks how big was you sealed box were you just able to slide it in the trunk? what do you think about the up firing design i was talking about, i noticed you did one in your stang with a single twelve how did it sound and did you like it?

  6. Hi all, never really built a custom box before, but i think it's time to go down that path. My cars trunk is so small , anyone that has had a mustang knows this. My question is would an upfiring( subs aimed up towards the trunk lid port aimed rear work? I want a well rounded box that will play all kinds of music well but also bumps hard. I'm dealling with two 12's that i want to put in my trunk. i have them in seperate prefab boxes right now. I need some thing that will play low and loud but still be able to fit in the trunk, an up firing sub box design is the only way i can think of getting some decent volume in there for two 12's and still possibly be able to slide the box in from the inside of the trunk , the height of the box is a real issue here. Any ideas? please help.
