  1. i'm not gonna touch the setting for bass boost on the amp. Is the knob also a bad idea, or is it ok when used minimally?

if the knob is a remote gain its good to use if its bass boost dont even use it.

most companies like hifonics and others use a bass boost knob. which you dont want to use. some companies like audioque use a gain knob, which if turned to max, doesnt exceed the gain setting on the amp itself. its just an attenuator.

the hifonics knob is also a remote gain

I have the MB Quart 1500 watt amp. Being a maxxsonics company it is a bass boost knob?

  2. unhook the - on your battery when installing amps or other equipment.

make sure your amp ground is on either the strut tower or on the frame itself. metal sanded down enough so that its nice and shiny around where the lug will bolt to the metal.

do the big 3 (guide in the top of the electrical section of the forum)

    dont use bass boost

set gains with an oscilloscope or a dd-1

  3. this is prolly gonna start a shit storm..but before it does...ill give my honest opinion...theyre a good sub and ive never had a problem with them holding up.. and quite a few people run them u just didnt look very hard lol... only down fall of them is their stiff ass suspension requires they be put into a larger enclosure than normal.. this same suspension also allows them to be tuned higher and still go low so its a bit of a catch 22.. but theyre good subs and great CS behind them

Yeah when i said that i meant in comparison to other quality brands which i won't mention b/c i don't wanna start a vs thread lol
