Well the time has come to sell my pride and joy. Never thought I would let it go but life always doesnt workout the way you think lol. Anyone who is into car audio knows what these amps are. Mine was made in 1992 right here in the USA back when PPI was on top of the car audio world.

Now unfortunately this amp is blown but I have been in contact with Steve over at ZED audio and he said they are able to repair it with upgrades. The artwork is perfect but there are some scratches on the rest of the face. If you can match the paint code it is easily able to be touched up.

With that being said I am asking $300 OBO for this amp since it is blown and has some cosmetic issues. NO TRADES. These amps, if you can find them, on ebay still go for $700+ in working condition.

The photos dont show the plugs in them but I do have them sitting in my room. They were removed when I put them amp in my closet so nothing would happen to them

the subs shouldnt be getting smelly even running that amp at .5. Question is where are your gains, how far into clipping are you pushing the amp and how much power are they actually getting. You are probably raising up to at least 2 ohms would be my guess

How about this, Don't use 1" MDF because it sucks.

Shop around your local lumber yards and actually walk in and see what kind of stock they have. Tell them you are looking for something strong and not nessessarily pretty for your project. We left looking for good ply .75" to double all the walls and ended up coming back with 1" 17ply birch that was strong as shit and light enough to handle the shell with two peole.

^^this....we can get 11ply 3/4" birch here at a local lumber yard for the same price that Home Depot or Lowes sells MDF for.
