Looking for a pair of tweeters because I apparently blew the last pair i bought from someone on here..
Let me know what you got, nothing fancy needed, built in crossover preferred.
I have a pair of XST2 Crescendo Tweets. I was planning on using them in my upcoming build but I have decided to go all SS. I bought these brand new from a guy on CACO about a month and a half ago. They have never seen power but I will gladly take pics and test them if you're interested.
How much are you asking for them?
i got a pair of re tweets im selling

I used a Pac bass blocker that blocks out up to 5.8k hz at 4 ohms. My p400-4 is also powering 4 speakers at 4x50...Amp is also set on high pass at all times. Also tuned the amp with the dd-1 2-3 times to be sure. Not sure why it happened but I don't see how it's my fault. It's whatever though, fuck the refund 45 bonez down the drain...On to find another set of tweets...Not trying to scheme on nobody and get this guy for his money. I guess we've came to a consensus that it's my fault. Thanks for the help guys lol

So I just installed new tweeters in my 2002 Maxima, Focal IS165 tweeters. They produce nice sound but I have a problem with one of them.
When I installed them, I wired them the same way and both were good. Until 2 days ago one of them was not playing sound anymore but had a buzz sound when I put it close to my ear. I figured this was some bad wiring issue so I ran new speaker wire from the amp to the tweeter and got sound out of it but it was crap. Sounds really bad and doesn't get loud.
the volume was on about 30/35 faded to the tweeter only. When you hear the distortion it was from the subs, I had them turned down but they were still bumpin a bit. The problem is, it sounds really bad and it should be much louder at this volume. Any ideas?

Looking for a pair of tweeters for the front to replace alpine type-s tweets. Something that will go well powered by a p400-4.
Nothing fancy just looking for decent quality not looking to spend a ton.
Lemme know what u got.

Can one badly wired speaker cause this?
-
I doubt its there fault. I did just put in components myself. Ill check over that wiring..
-
So when the bass hits, does the component speakers shut off or the subwoofer and components? If its just the components, see if the speaker wires are touching metal somewhere, causing it to send the amp into protect. Mine did the same thing, and I checked my noobish wiring from when I first started car audio, and found out one of the places I spliced wires at had came out of the electrical tape and was touching my trucks body. Retaped it and it fixed it all.
Yes when the bass hits the components will go off. Only at higher volumes will this happen. Volumes that i would always listen to that were playing fine. Ill check the speaker wire once i get home but it is possible that it is a voltage problem?
-
Yes. I'm starting to think it is the battery because it is pretty old..I'll check the date on it when i get home from school.
-
I went to the shop in which i got the install done amd they replaced an old circuit breaker with a fuse holder.
They checked the voltage at every point needed. All checked out
-
The amps are running off a distribution block. Every connection seems to be fine. Could the battery be the problem?
-
Losing just one... Had the voltage checked yesterday and it checked out
-
I was driving today with the volume up and everything was all good until suddenly the speakers would go off when the bass would hit. This only happens at high volumes. Im running a p400-4 and p1000

While driving, when the amps shut off, I would pop the head unit back in and the amps would SOMETIMES turn back on. When I hit a bump or accelerated a little harder, the amps would turn OFF again. They didn't always turn back ON. But where is the issue? Hmm...
This make me think it's a bad ground or power connection somewhere.
it could be that or a lot of other problems what is happing is both amps are going into protect at the same time when he turns the h/u off it would reset the protection then turn on the deck amps are back on
Are they going into protect though? The LED indication of protect mode isn't on. It just goes off. When rolling and pushing the h/u back on they come back on SOME of the time.
