  1. Sup guys, selling to pay for my next build trying to keep things within driving distance. Will not ship.., I'm from Lemoore, Cali.... Level 3 DC audio dual 4 Ohm M1 line, Cosmeticly: 8/10 Mechanicly: 10/10 asking 160. SMD Distortion Detector- 130 doesn't have original box, has been used once. Sold. Blown Alpine MRP1000 - 50 bucks, it powers on, but doesn't have any output.
  2. I just wish i could do the work myself. I bought the amp for 160 bucks working, the guy said it was because i touched the negative and positve speaker wires together
  3. I sent them a request see what the quote is, could be better off buying another amp anyways, being that i want a nightshade 15'' haha.
  4. So i take it with all these replies about an amp, the amp isn't worth anything? haha
  5. Sorry, at 1500@ 2 ohms load.
  6. Honestly, I'd stay away from Hifonics. I had a pretty bad experience with my Hifonics a few days ago. What ohm load would you need this power at? Oh really? Hmm I'd need a 2 ohm load. The sub is 4dvc. It's a level 3, just getting the extra power because im planning on upgrading the subwoofer as well. Will make sure it's also 4dvc.
  7. If it's not worth anything, what would be a wise choice for an amplifier that's cea complaint, 200-350 dollars and can run 1500w rms. I can only think of Hifonics for that price.
  8. Ah, i'd rather just buy a brand new amplifier then, thanks mate. Is it worth anything?
  9. I was told my amp's outputs are shot. They don't work so that's why there is no sound coming to my speaker, my first question is. Is this something i can replace for cheap? My second question is if not, is it still worth something? It's a Alpine MRP-1000. Thanks for any input.
  10. Why not use less than 18? I was thinking about using some of my 12awg speaker wire as i said above, just not sure what side to use.
  11. http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK4-4 is the site mate love the wire really flexable, also does it matter what side of the wire i use for using the speaker wire as a remote? Copper or the silver side? Thanks
  12. Nah man, i just looked on the site to double check doesn't come with it it's okay though i should have enough speakerwire to reach that far:D
  13. Ohhh i have 12 gauge speaker wire a ton of it will that work? Different gauge wire tho
  14. Merry Christmas i got a new wiring kit from Knu, the complete setup but didn't recieve a remote wire, was wondering is there any other type of wire that can replace this? Really wanted all new wires planning on leaving tomorrow ona roadtrip so don't have time to wait to go buy one Thanks fellers.
  15. Havinga buddy of mine come over so i acan test the amp out, if it turns out to be the wires would you suggest replacing them all? Or just try to find the wire. Im sure i could go tsmaller gauge wire.
  16. Read the beginning of his second sentence. Edit: My bad, the third sentence. @OP, possibly the RCA inputs on the amp or the outputs on the head unit. I would try hooking the RCAs to one of the component RCA outputs on the head unit and seeing if you can get any response on a speaker. Not exactly sure what you mean.. Could you dummy it down for me man? I'd love to try tohis to see if that's it. I have the cables hooked up to the head unit. From there what? You know how the headunit has two sets of RCA plugins? Well, most do. One set is Subwoofer RCA outputs, and the other set is for the components. Switch the RCAs from the Subwoofer plugins to the other set. This is all on the headunit. Its a possibility that the Subwoofer plugins went out, and if you move the RCA cables to the component ones and it fixes your problem, that would prove it. If it doesn't fix it, then it is either power problems, such as a poor ground or even a remote wire being loosely connected, or it could be your RCA inputs on the Amplifier is bad. I am sorry if I sound confusing, I just can't think of the proper terminology to describe it better ATM haha. Haha, no actually i get it now. But how do i know what one is for the sub and what one isn't? Not only that but couldn't they both be out? Hha, now that i think about it i never used the other set so there shouldn't be a reason there blown out right? Thanks for the input man. I peiced together all these wires.. it'sm most likely a bad wire im hoping. I just hope it's not with the amp. :/. Jus went out there. Did what you said and didn't do anything.

  18. haha, nah man sorry for the confussion. The speaker wire is 16.
  19. Actually just fixed that problem, put in a new battery revently and forgot that i had not tightened the cables.. dumb me. i put them both tight now. The flickering problem no longer exists. Still can't figure out about the sub. Unfortunately i don't own a DMM but will get one very soon, if not go buy one. If it has output than it's not those put if it doesn't than i need to replace those. Correct?

  21. Nope, it's directly to the subwoofer.
  22. Haha, nah man i've been playing on it for a couple weeks. Then it cut out. I reinstalled it it played again. Now it's oding it again, just really not sure i think it's a wire grounding but from the sounds of it everyone thinks it's the rca's.
