  1. That program is step 2 in the design process. Step 1 is using a WinISD, BassBox Pro, etc mocking up a decent response.
winisd and bbp dont take into account vehicle response, so their graphs are completely irrelevant unless you put a mic in your car and measured sweeps.
Ah dangit, thanks for catching that.. I had to modify some stuff.. I'm .5 from recommended.. over.. think it's going to be alright? 80572481.png
looks good man. i dont know why everyone is telling you to put 100sqin of port per cube. its a 500 watt sub for god sakes.

Really? I had someone use BB6 for my box for my DC :( Lmao, but yeah it's only 500 watts.. it's nothing big not expecting much honestly. Just a tad big louder than the sealed.. thanks bro hopefully It'll turn out great.

  2. They recommend a box on there site, deals with odd numbers, not really up for that right now.. it's tuned to 30 hertz, so I'm sure 31 won't be a problem. I am sticking with just a regular box bread only because it's not my sub. I would like to keep it simple here :) as far as specs everything look purty? :)

  3. Well fellers, my Uncle is a die hard for JL, hes got a W3V3 12'' in a prefab sealed box. He likes the SQ from it, I was trying to explain to him a ported can sound as good, or better than a sealed.. but wasn't exactly sure the reason behind it so I figure. Why not build him one. If he doesn't like it he can always switch it again. Was wondering whatcha guys think of these specs? They ask for a 1.75 cubed ported box. I overcompensated a little bit for depth being it's a ranger.. older year. Didn't know exact dimentions. Anyways heres the Torres thanks.

EDIT: They do have ported box dimentions on there site, odd numbers.. rather not that's why I'm trying another box. Also the box they made is tuned to 30 hertz, so not to worried about the freq of it.

  4. Thanks guys, I think I might just get the AB. I'm stuck between a Hifonics 2400brz and that AB amp. Just need a little bit more time to look around and make up my mind. Any more suggestions would be helpful

Just remember make sure it's CEA compliant.. also you have a beefy electrical those hifonics are power hungry.

  5. ok thank you for the info. The sub actual sounds really good. idk why people hate on it.
To each their own. BUT, I will say for you to wait until you hear another setup for comparison. Until you have something else to compare your own equipment to, then your stuff is going to sound fantastic! lol. An XPlod works for a little beginner setup. Stick around here for a while and read up. Watch some videos and check out some reviews. Look into some of the budget companies/options that are being ran around here. DC Audio Level 3's, Sundown Audio SA-Series, Skar Audio, Audioque SDC line, etc. Save up some cash and upgrade. If you are completely satisfied with what you are running now, you obviously have not caught "the bug" yet. Either way, props for seeking out a forum to share your interest in the sport. Don't just simply "bump" a little build summary thread. Add pictures or videos of new items or improvements. ;)

A level two would make him catch the bug :o also look into AQ OP

  6. Well honestly man, you would have a better chance with more pictures. I know if sucks not having anyone put output but if your going to bump bump with things you did.. such as just rewired the power and RCA's to give it a cleaner look, picture, and another picture. Rather than "Bump" people will get annoyed with it, more people that get annoyed with it, less people voting for you.. less people voting for you.. less chance of winning. Now that that's done with, nice setup, was my.. 2nd was a good sub actually for the price had a good thump to it. Keep it up man, more pictures!

Your welcome, if it's in your funds I would also try building a box on your own. Would definately help increase your chances. It's a good sub I agree, budget sub at that. People just know there is better out there. Noone really hates on it as long as your not going around saying, Oh my Sony Xplod 1000w max blew out my back window. It would sound alot better in a ported box, seems as if yours is sealed? Didn't watch any of the vids really just caught a glimps of it.
yea its sealed, if i don't get system of the month, im guna buy new stuff, Amp:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33006_MB-Quart-FX1.400.html Sub:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22099_PowerBass-M-154D.html Box:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_24446_Sonic-Sub-Box-1H15-2.0-Black.html Equalizer:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6655_Clarion-EQS746.html DB blocks:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_36336_Xscorpion-GDBRG.html Rca:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7235_e2-ERCA3-by-Scosche.html Speaker wire:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_32557_Absolute-S-14-250.html

That amp won't push the sub to it's full RMS.. and the box would be better if you built it yourself. I would save rather than buying those things man honestly. DC level 2 12'' get a Price check from CJ18. Solid sub, for a good price. Your going to have to save, but that's what most of us do here. Can't buy it all at once my build has took me about 4 months so far. Gotta takeit slow, when you get money save it to get quality stuff rather than a bunch of stuff you'll end up selling or that will crap out on you.

  9. No worries man, build the box part in the google sketchup.. then make the port height the same as everything else.. make it .75 wide just as everythign else then make the length as far as it can till you get 1.75 to the back part of the box. See whatI mean? If not i'll try to explain differently.
