A fuse tap would be a much better idea, I just dont know where to get them, so I totally spaced on that idea. But there should be a ground in your GM035 harness.
-
Let me know man, if you cant get it. I can deff. get some pics for you soon on some ideas. And once you get a build log up, Ill check that out too. If you want, I have three links of work Ive done in my sig, you can check those out and let me know what you think.
-
You can do it that way cleanly, I have done it. Now, its not the ideal way (there are better ways but alot harder). So I think this should work pretty well for you. I may be wrong, but I would assume that Lifted did it that way too?

Why are you getting behind it?
-
Thats the way Ive done them.
-
Yes, Pac-Audio makes a part that will do everything for you. But I dont think its really that cheap. I can get the part number if you would like though.
-
Uhhhh...you should be able to access it just fine man. They have the access panel right on the side right?
-
Its not to bad, but the newer GMs run their radio via a data wire, your door/warning chimes run through the radio too. So you will also lose those.
-
The easiest way for you to do that would be to run a wire from the red wire at your radio to your fuse box (hide it behind the dash). Once at the fuse box, find a fuse that has 12volts only when the car is on and hook the wire in at the non power side of the fuse.
-
That is the harness where you need to run your own ACC wire, everything else is normal unless you have a foctory amp, then wire the blue wire on the GM035 to the blue/wire from your radio.
-
Hang one real fast please.
-
No, that has nothing to do with your problem. You need to find out if your Blazer is the model with or without the ACC wire first.
-
Yes, the ACC wire is 12volt switched.
