  1. This is where I am glad I have firefold about 10 minutes from me, they carry everything you need as far as home theater. So speaker wire is no prob, hdmi, coax, anything. But if you dont have that luxury it hurts. Ohh and as far as Best Buy all stores should carry the metra wire, not the greatest but its ofc. Just checked shows available in all Detroit MI stores.

    Isnt Metra's wire called Tsunami?

  2. It really is sad how cheap people have become when it comes to things like wire, and when your dealing with power wire its even worse. Companies claim its 4g, when its actually like 8g in a 4g coating. I could tell them "that wire is crap, you need this better wire for that amp" until they see the prices. Whats even worse is that its $20 more to get some real 4g wire.

  3. ME GUSTA! Wow it looks awesome Steve.

What did it cost? And is there a lot of customizing?

I had the 1/8" plexi leftover from something else, tint cost me $17 for the roll at O'Reilly. Switch was $4 at Radio Shack. Asthetically it wouldnt be my first pick but it was the smallest push on/off I could find locally. So it cost me the price of the unit, sacrificing of a perfectly good mirror, $21 in parts (plus maybe $10 worth of plexi...?) and an hour of work.

It'll be weird to have the mirror up again, it hasn't been there in at least 3 years...

what style mirror is that? what car is it from? im waiting for the green to come out

then maybe ill rehang my mirror, they always seem to break :(

  4. I too can vouch for the CC-1 being such a great tool to have. I received mine today and right when i got home from class today i went to my truck and setup my entire system again. I started with my DD-1 and noticed i was clipping a bit but not hard, just a slight tweak fixed it. I then went to my CC-1 and even using a RF 3sixty.2 the crossover points were still off by a ton. After i set it up with the CC-1 i played my music and i cannot believe how something simple and easy to use like the DD-1 and CC-1 can make your system really sound great. I am really impressed in the quality of the tool as well as the accuracy in it. My system just improved 10 fold for me.

Can you be more specific on how much a "ton" is :)

I am also using a 3sixty.2 and I assumed that the settings were fairly accurate.

I am also curious how much they were off by, I have a 360.2 in my car I may need to check!

  5. This thing is great!!!

I got mine on tuesday and the first free second I got we threw this on a friends system. It was so easy! We got his LPF filter perfect and even better...his subsonic filter. Ive never had a good way to test the subsonic filter. Now we know his subs are not being played below tuning, so now the lows (although a tad quieter) are much cleaner sounding.

I bet this would be amazing on an "active" set-up. Its a must have along with the DD-1 if you are a true audiophile!

And the great thing is these tools ate MUCH easier to use than an oscope!

    Edit: Also...

I cant wait to use this in my car to match gains and crossover points with multiple sub amps. It will take all the guess work out of setting everything up! Which should create a cleaner and stronger output for the low end.

    Great job guys!
