  1. Not really but i went to psp-inc.com/tools to calculate the port length for a 8 inch and it gave me 21inches about the same width of the box and with a 6 inch it gave me 9.3 inches like u said. I think ill be using the sa 15 sa sub with the 6 round port from parts-express.com. thanks for all the help guys

  2. ok so i made a box in a 00 mustang and let me tell you it was a pain in the ass and heres the internal measurements

    depth 1- 22 inches

    depth 2-13.5 inches

    height-14.5 inches

    width-35 inches

im runing 2 kicker comp 15 in that small box so as of right now is a sealed box and wanted to tuned it in the 34z range can i do this with round 4 inch concrete cardboard tubes from lowes so how many do i need and how long?

i would prefer 2 and also doest matter if the ports instead of been inside can they be ouside so it doesnt take more volume out of the already small box

i know that space im working with is barelly enough for one 15 but i had those 2 15 lying around so what the heck

  3. Why not just use a power supply for a pc that what im using in my home theater set up. Just use the yellow wires as positive and black as ground and solder the green and black wire that are connected to the motherboard and it should turn on

Most PC power supplies only put out like 10-15A unless you're dropping $150-$200 on a power supply.

Computer PSU's also only have 12V outputs (for the hard drives).

You should feed an amp the 13.8V that it would expect from an auto environment.

In case you do have voltage drop, you'll have more headroom with 13.8V than you will with 12V.

if you have a smaller amp then no sweat. If its current hungry then you might get issues.

Well im only running like 250 rms

  4. i have 1 optima yellow top in one of my cars and it seem to do the job since the lights stop dimming still expensive if i would knew of xs power batteries or kinetik before i bought it i would i went with xs or kinetik but theres marine batteries in autozone for under 100 and are deep cycle if anyone have any experience with these brands

  5. So i was wondering if any batteries for marine use would be ok or can stand up to car audio battery, like autozone or valuecraft batteries that are sold at my local autozone for cheap compared to the price range with other brands. i know theres other batteries i heard off that are specially for car audio like xs power, kinetik, optima which some of you people hate and i heard of odessey which arent ment for car audio but work.

So if anyone know any batteries that do good at car audio and arent really expensive or any recommendations would be great im looking for couple of batteries to help with the dimming lights in my car and avoid getting stranded far from home cause of battery issue.
