  1. lol ok this is something i cant decide between. i know its my choice and everything of that sort but id like others opinions on this so no flaming! lol. now to the question.

Im trying to decide what i wanna do for a career and go to college for. Ive narrowed it down to either doing something in the car audio scene or doing automotive machining.

So what im asking is what are peoples views on these 2? like what kind of experience does anyone have from either of these?

    Thanks in advance

  2. dude really nice car. lol kinda weird to say but we ended up going to the same High School lol. but really sick ride man

no shit!? Whats your name man??

You prolly said it in the video, but how big is that box gross?

~14 cubes untouched, ~12 after displacements

i :like: it lol :good: .

    teehee

Tyler Hamelin. We had flanaghans class together my jr year. I used to hang out with buglewicz in wesslunds class

  3. ok well i measured it out and got 38" wide at the ceiling. that gives me about 24 Cubes of interior. My question would be again how would i measure the port out. i mean i understand its guesswork at first but where is a good place to start with it being tuned around 35-37 Hz?

  4. So how would you go about building the box then? Should i build it to be wide enough for the top then expanda foam the bottom part to seal it all off?

Thats pretty much what i did with my wall. start boxy shape after.. Measure to the OUTERmost portion on where the BOX can actually fit and go from there

Alright ill try that. ill measure it out tomorrow since its dark and i have no garage and let you guys know that i come up with

  5. its in a 2 door. and those were the dimensions of where the box would sit all together. sorry for not clarifying that. thats with the backseat down and depth was measured from the back of the passenger seat to the back of the rear seat where it latches by the rear window.

  6. you could do a nasty 4th order... with that much room, and that will make the 4 12s output just so much better....

i just have no info on 4th orders, but with that much room, you def could do that

Would anybody have info on 4th orders? i think it would be pretty cool to do a 4th order but i know nothing about bandpass boxes

  7. loudest in walls are generally port on the driver side... if you are going for DBdrag..

honestly, whats the point in a wall with 4 12s? i could see 6 12s, or 4 15s.. with 32 cubes you have enough room for 4 18s as well i mean jesus

yea i get what your saying, i was also thinking of tucking them all in the trunk but id like to do a wall just to get experience from it.

  8. ok well i have somewhat of a design in mind. i would post it but dont know how to post pics here. what i was thinking is a box that is roughly 50" wide, 40" tall and 30" deep. that is roughly 32 cubic feet interior. how would you guys go about designing a port for it? sorry for all the noob questions. just trying to learn as much as i possibly can

  9. Hey, I'm new to the forum but have been looking around it for a longer period of time. Well I'm starting my first build soon and have a off the wall ( and may be dumb) question but would it be a waste to do a wall with 4 12s or would it be fine? I love the looks of a wall and would like to do one but I'm just worried I don't have a sufficent number of woofers to make it worthwhile. Oh and its going in a 98 cavalier if that makes any difference
