The Big 3 is only about $30 if you buy the wire and do it yourself. 7-10ft of 0awg wiring, some terminals and a bit of work and your done. I wouldn't run two Yellotops and a stock alternator to support the BC3500, but that would be alright with the Aq2200d. And don't count on your alternator failing, what kind of plan is that? You won't need to upgrade your stock alt for the Aq2200, but for the BC3500 me thinks you'll need an HO Alt, and them bitches Cost more money than an Asian Hooker in Chinatown!
what size yellow tops should i look at?

how much is big 3 upgrade? and would 2 yellow tops be ok? till i can get some xs or kinetiks batts. and i will get a new alt when it fails or i get even more money.

or you can just keep what you plan on getting, and upgrade amps down the road.....
I personally would go with the 5, even with that power.. just because ive been trying to blow mine, and they wont die... and i dont think the XLs would take this abuse...

Handle the abuse? Ive had my xl ran at .5 ohm on my aq 2200 for 5 months till I changed amps

and yes, the XLs would have blown by the abuse i put my 5s through, ive had 4s, XLs AND now 5s... XLs would not handle 3kw a piece for 8+ hours like i have put my 5s through
Well obviously with that power lol but he didn't say he was gonna put that on one 5s don't start stinking till they get about 6k each.
And for his first system and being 17 it'll take a lot longer to get the proper electrical and power for a level 5
when you say proper electrical what do you mean by that? big 3 upgrade, battery, alt?

If you've never had a system an xl is more then substantial I've been rocking xl s for a year and a half now they get loud.
i myself have never had a system but one of my older buddies had a explorer with 12 12s and i would always listen to that

The XL's will perform about as good as the LV 5 on that amount of power. And you'll only need an extra battery to run the 2200. So go for it

ya im ganna go with the 5s. by the time it gets broken in on the 2200 i will prob have enough money to get the bc3500.

im only 17 and i dont have a job so i have been saving and trying to sell some stuff so i could get a good audio system. Should i use the dc lvl 5 15 on an aq2200 @ 1ohm or wait alot longer till i have the money to get the crescendo bc3500. and i still need to buy a battery so im thinking i should go with the aq2200. what do you guys think?

the aq2200 were good subs. cant wait for you to get new stuff. i say a crescendo bc6500 next.
considering the AQ 2200 is an amp not a sub...
But we shall see.. i might wanna do a whole new setup but i for sure want to get a bigger amp!

im still knew to the terms so i dont know what that means. simplest way to put it is i want it to be built to dc audios specs on their site for the level 5 15 but with aeroports. dc audio website
