  1. Didn't think I really needed to clarify that. But now I know. Thank you.
  2. Screw you guys. This forum is supposed to be about help, not hating. I have done many other installs previously, from subs to decks and even amps. I have always connected to the positive teminal. I was just shopping around for a battery terminal and noticed many of then said they were for the nagative battery post. Just wanted some clarification, that's all.
  3. I've seen negative battery teminal connection posts to run multiple sets of wire to one connection point so that's why I was confuzed.
  4. When I run my power wire does it matter if I connect the wire to the positive or negative battery terminal?
  5. Alright, just the fuse running from my battery then? I used to be running 100 watts rms to a pair or 6.5's, so I have a 10 amp fuse in there right now, now I'm upgrading to run a single 10, hence the amp change. I just want to hopefully get some piece of mind about my wiring situation because 400 watts didn't seem like too much for 8 gauge wire. I am planning on upgrading in the near future, just alittle tight on the money right now and I miss my bass so I'm trying to make something work.
  6. My bad I just looked to make sure, the amp rating is 25amps x 2
  7. it comes with a 30 amp fuse, was thinking about upgrading it to a 40 though.
  8. The thing is its only pushing 400 watts rms. That's why I thought it might be okay to use the 8 gauge.
  9. I have 8 gauge wire running from a previous amp I just uninstalled. I bought a renegade 850 s and it says that 4 gauge wire is required. I checked and the 8 gauge will fit as long as I tighten down the screws enough on my am, but me question is: can I use the 8 gauge wiring I already have installed safely? Or am I s.o.l. and need to run all new wire?
  10. Yah they r really high priced... just like how u can find websites for car audio gear (like what I have done) that's new but at a lower price. That's more of what I'm looking for.
  11. What is the best website to buy damplifier or damplifier pro at? I know I want to purchase around 30 Square feet of this material for my trunk and my front 2 doors, or at least part of them for now, but I can't afford the $100 retail price for 20 square feet. Any suggestions? And I'm not looking for cheaper knockoff material either.
  12. Not unless the car is going to be in a booth at SEMA (with a committment in writing from the company with the booth). Partial sponsorship is nothing more than a percentage off retail. Go on Ebay and get every part they make below dealer cost and drive happy. Yah I have been getting all my stuff through hifisoundconnection.com at like half off nywaz... but I will upload sum pix here shortly...
  13. I am the proud owner or a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT. I have 3 sets of kicker 2 way coaxal speakers (6.5", 6x9", 3.5") running on a kicker 350 watt 4 channel amp, and alpine head unit, 2 10" kicker solo baric L7's in a ported enclosure tuned to 36 hz running on a kicker 1000.1 amp, all kicker wiring, etc. The caar looks good and sounds amazing. Is this a car I would be able to get sponsored with? Even a partial sponsorship? And if not what can I do to get a sponsorship?
  14. Hey guys so I'm looking for new front and rear speakers for my 05 Neon. I have 6.5" speakers in the front and 6x9" in the rear. I've been looking at the kicker KS65's for the front and the kicker KS6930's for the rear. However, I have heard rumors that Kicker is only good for their subs and don't have very high quality speakers. Both pairs run for around $90 and my price range is no higher than $100 per pair. Any comments/suggestions?
  15. simply put, it's the cost of material and the size of the enclosure, but i will definately look into it... thank you...
  16. Yah man my trunk definately won't fit a 15... I was thinking about a single 12 with more RMS in a ported enclosure but the problem with that for me is pricing. A duel system running off a single amp and sealed has actually been looking closer to my price range, especially if I'm looking at 10's...
  17. I own a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT and I'm looking for a trunk system that will give me the most bang for my buck. My budget is around $600 right now for everything, subs, box, wires, amp, everything! Are there any suggestions for a custom build for 2 10's or possibly even 2 12's? And if not, what could I do speaker wise to get a few heads to turn when I'm driving downtown?
