  1. Aagh...apparently if I want to go over 1k watts(Which I plan on) I'll have to upgrade my alternator, battery, and wiring? How many damn costs are there to this building systems crap?
  2. Well, maybe 1300 for everything. As in setup, enclosure, sub, mids, tweeters, amp. How should I go about checking how much I can fit in the back trunk? Another issue, is there any way to get rid of my car rattling if I do this? I don't want crap getting loosened up like screws and what not. It looks cool but it stupid./
  3. No worries! I read the post. I thought SQ was sound quality? That's why I was looking at that TC subwoofer. Apparently it can go pretty loud and low/high without any distortion and clarity, with the bonus of being loud. I guess I want clear and loud. I couldn't understand shit all in my friend's car. How much space am I willing to sacrifice? All of it. My civic coupe is only driven by me. The rear trunk might as well completely get used up. As for the amp, anything you guys would reccomend. Please post links and what not. What about for enclosures and setting up the systems? Should I just cave in and get geek squad to do it (oh god I hope I don't regret typing that!)? I'm more of a software guy. Can't do shit with my hands.
  4. Okay, I just sat in my buddies car and heard his Phoenix Gold 12". Apparently it can take almost 1500 peak watts, but my friend only had a 500 watt amp for it. It baaangs for 45hz-60hz. The enclosure looked about 1.2 cu ft. So my question is, I'm kind of a newbie, do all subs really only hit the higher notes better? I have a Logitech z-2300 which is a piddly 8 inch 120 watt driver but it's decent enough. One thing I noticed though in his car was that within the 29-36 hz range it was only about twice as loud as my subwoofer. The song that hits the hardest on his sub is the 51hz note in Welcome to City by Drumsquad. Is there any subwoofer that is very high quality and hits hard in the lows, mids and highs? What about speakers and tweeters? I read that these are just as important. I want to hear everything in the song, blaring lows and highs, and I actually want to understand the lyrics which I couldn't in my friends' car. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=293-666 I was looking at that one, but I think 1 grand for a sub alone is too much. Is there....something like that I could buy under 1 grand for enclosure+sub? I don't even think I could fit 1 18 in the back of my civic coupe. This isn't even including tweeters or speakers. Also, I love the lows at my house, but the highs feel much better and I thought I'd hate them. Makes your chest and everything around you vibrate. Is there a way to make the lows sound like a huge earthquake? I'm talking songs like Soul Survivor and White Girl. Sorry if I sound stupid! I just don't know where to start so I figured I'd drop by here!
  5. http://www.datpiff.com/Young-Jeezy-Hustlenomics-mixtape.205592.html The song is called Meet Me In the Tunnel. It peaks at 31hz at -10.7db(checked in audacity) To call this song a banger would be understating it by a lot!
  6. Yeah it is good. My major complaint though is some of the songs sound hollow. An example of this would be "Gotta See This" on the mixtape. The bass is there but is all hollowed out. The rest of the beat seems held back as well.
  7. http://www.killerhiphop.com/young-jeezy-the-real-is-back-2-mixtape/ Worth listening to. Good lead up to TM103.
  8. Wow, I was so confused looking at this topic today.....then I got what happened =_=...
  9. http://www.mixtapetorrent.com/drumma-boy-the-birth-of-d-boy-fresh Demeanor and Bite Back are some pretty sick tracks. Enjoy
  10. Okay, I'm sure most of you guys heard of Jeezy's hustlaz ambition right? Rhetorical question, of course you have! Anyway, I was at a site that was putting up mixtape instrumentals and listened to a completely modified and better beat of hustlaz ambition! Sent chills up my spine, you can tell by all these exclamation marks! I was always confused by how to recognize if a song is clipped or not. One thread gave me a simple but effective way to find this out using WMP. But for this song I didn't even have to check. The bass bottoms out a lot and sounds wobbly. Sure enough I see those dreadful straight line waves. Is there any possible way to fix this song's bass? I would really appreciate it! I know you guys will like this beat! http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UKHXL1PD
  11. These 2 are possibly my favourite beats of all time, they're simply amazing to me. Please post some more beats that sound dope. Gucci Mane-All About The Money The other one is "Gorilla Zoe-Tryna Make a Jug", however I can't find it on youtube.
  12. Quite enjoyed this one. I've scoured youtube for good bass tests and finally found one, very good quality too.

  14. I'd like some songs with low bass(not too low, enough to give a heavy kick, I only have a z-2300 computer speaker ) I'll start it off. Ludacris-Get Back Young Jeezy-Trap or Die 2 Yung Joc-In the Hood Waka Flocka Flame-No Hands(Has high bass in it as well) Too Short-I Like It Waka Flocka Flame-Strangers (Fairly high actually, but still nice) Young Buck-The Strip Club(Stuff like this is what I'm definitely looking for!) Yung Joc-I Know You See It Young Jeezy-Soul Survivor Young Joc-Knock it Out(Has high-super low bass) Gorilla Zoe-Waddle Bubba Sparxxx-Heat It Up Willie the Kid-Love For Money(I'd imagine this song would be killer on some 15's or 18's. Bass goes so low and deep it's not even funny)
