Thanks for the info i have a steady hand the problem will be the very small sodering connections so it will take me about 2 hours to get the solder peices cut to the right size and another 2 hours to get them soldered in. The grounds will be alot easier plus i have to replace the battery, lcd, headphone jack, and the digitizer so about a 5 hour project; but its $50 vs. 200 for a new one. And thanks for the luck i'll need it.

does anyone know how to replace the dock connector on an ipod touch 2nd gen i have replaced parts on it before and i have the knowledge on everything but this

just get some extra batteries and you wont need to wory about dropping voltage
i am aware of that to but y would you get 2 or 3 when you can get 1 that will do the same as 3 or 4?

If you want old RE quality look at FI/AA. Those guys know the old RE guys pretty well.
thanks n8ball ive deffenitaly decided to listen to you you definatly know what you are talking about
dont type that too many times. people will think i really do.

I own 2 of them and love em. I use it to power my daily system in my car, when I put it in. lol. These amps have a lot of adjust-ability on them unlike others. I have had one of them for about 11 years. I use this amp for local SPL comps when they have a 500 watt class.
If you set the amp with a DD-1 you will be good to go. These amps are a lil pricey though.
thanks price isnt an isue really i just need to get the money first and i just want a JL system
I used to be like that too man. glad i got over it. you won't find too many JL supporters here, but regardless of what they say, JL is good stuff. You will enjoy that system, but when you are ready to step it up, let us know and we will help you along your way!
thanks dude JL is pricey so ill have to save up for a while to be able to afford it and thanks ill let ya'll know when im gonna start the build i also might do a build with 3 13W7AE'S AND 3 1000/1v2's so ill let ya know whens gonna happen might not be for a while if im doing the later

The question of if its under rated or over rated?
iirc it has a regulated power supply, as in it will do 500 watts or a little over like it says it will at different loads but you wont get a massive boost at lower impedence. Once again though I dont own a JL audio amp so someone with more hands on experience could give you a better answer on what they do
well im asking cuz i want to put one on a JL 12W3V3-2 whish rms rating is 500 rms but i do know that those are rated with conservation (meaning they are under rated)
-
Its their RIPS system they use in the amps, its designed to give 500 watts at different ohm loads and car voltages, I heard of the 500/1 doing 720w at 2 ohms and 630 at 4 but maybe someone with more experience with these can chime in
haha now i see that guess i should have looked at that but the rest of the ? still stands
-
look at the highlighted part and explain that
-
rockford fosgate power series amps are constant power too!
yes i am aware
-
alright i've asked about the JL subs people said overpriced but good (in general consensus) so how about their amps they look a little spendy but thats not the concern the concern is this
JL Audio 500/1v2
Rated Continuous (RMS) Power @ 14.4 V
@ 4 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
@ 3 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
@ 2 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
@ 1.5 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
JL Audio 500/1v2
Rated Continuous (RMS) Power @ 12.5 V
@ 4 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
@ 3 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
@ 2 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
@ 1.5 Ω 500 W RMS x 1
is this really what it gets and if so is it over rated, rated accuratly, or under rated "doubtful but ya never know"

lol, sorry man, saw some people seemed to have it under control already. There's a LOOOOT of people here that are smarter than me when it comes to equipment, all here to stop others from making the same mistakes they did
haha thanks man you should post on my stuff more often hearing your input makes my day
-
thanks Lbox88 you havent posted on my stuff for a while

so in other words just ignore RE all together

Sundown 3500s and 14v?
he's a fosgate fanatic i very much doubt he would ever go to sundown for amps
on his own vehicle anyway
