Picture is on its way.to the body? where on the body? that gives thousands of different location possibilities. why isnt it on the frame?
you never said you checked the power wire connections, at the fuse holder etc. that can be the problem too
-
you think so? Even on 1000 watts you need a big 3?no big 3
You're still looking for a problem?

Only amp in the truck. Brand new optima yellow top, 4 gauge wire, no big 3Is he runnin any other amps? How's his electrical is it stock? Did he do a big 3 upgrade?

I appreciate all your help and Im sorry I never read back through the last post. And it is grounded to the body of the car, all sanded, tight, and clean as anything
-
we regrounded it, extremely clean, and it STILL does it, and in fact its even worse now.poor connections on ground or power wire.

Hey everyone, my friends 02 Dodge Ram 1500 had a JL1000/1 AND 12W7 in it. It worked great for 4 months then randomly, once you turn ip past 15, it cuts out and the amp has a light that comes on that says "Low V" so everyone on the forum told me to get a yellow top. We just put it in, and the same problem. What the hell is going on? Please help.
-
thanks for the help guys, Ill try to get a picture posted as soon as possible. Its not my truck so its hard to get a picture. We are thinking its a battery issue. The batter has been in there for a while so thank you for the help.

Low voltage yes. Could be shitty ground. Gain maxed out causing major voltage drop.
do you think if we throw in an optima yellow top battery in it should fix the low voltage problem?

Hey guys, so my friend recently got a truck and we had a JL 1000/1, JL W7, and an alpine deck installed. It was fine for a few months, but now when we turn the volume up, the bass cuts out and a light on the amp comes on that says "Low V". Does that mean low voltage? Do you thing if we put in an optima yellow top in it will solve the problem? thanks here is a video of the system

thanks so much. Is their a certain gauge solder I should get?
-
Thanks guys. Im gonna try and buy a soldering iron today and give it a shot!

So my friend recently got a truck, and yesterday I installed 2 pioneer 6x9's in the door for him. However, I dont know if the connections are good. I just twisted the wires and taped it. They play, but is there anything I should do to make it stronger? thanks.

I recently bought 2 12" W7's and I need an amp that stable at 1.5 ohms. I know that the
JL 1000/1 is, but they are 700 bills a piece, and I really don't want to buy two of them. If anyone knows a decent price amp that can put out 1000 watts and is stable at 1.5ohms, please post. thank you.
-
Thank you so much for the help everyone! Im gonna try this tomorrow and Ill be sure to post back with some results. thanks again!
-
I say try 1.5... it should be fine
thanks a lot for the help guys, but one last question. if I ran them both off of their own amp, 3ohms, would it work? still on my kicker zx750. 750watts at 2 homs.
-
6 ohms
if its at 6 ohms, my amp will run fine? will it still put out the full 750 watts?
-
Kickers new amps are only stable down to 2 ohms
so there is no way in hell that I can run these subs on my amp?
-
Hey everyone, I just bought 2 12" jlw7's. They are each SVC 3ohm. I was told there is no way to connect them to my amp without frying it. my amp is a kicker zx750.1, 750watts at 2ohms. Please help me out yall, will it fry my amp? thanks.
Sub/amp keep cutting out!
