  1. Ok so, here is a design suggestion based closely on Kicker's spec for this subwoofer: 10cuft@35Hz port up sub up configuration will work well and is very easy to build:

    DIMENSIONS ARE SPECIFIED AS SEEN FROM THE TOP!!

    Enclosure Specifications:

    Fb = 35,00 Hz

    Vb = 10 ft^3

    Subwoofer Mounting = Flush Mounted

    External Height = 19 in

    External Width = 39 in

    External Depth = 32,75 in

    Port Width = 8 in

    Cut List:

    * All Dimensions in Inches.

    * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

    External Enclosure Parts:

    2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 39 x 19

    Left & Right Sides = 30 1/2 x 17 1/2

    Top & Bottom = 39 x 30 1/2

    L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

    Front to Back = 15 1/2 x 17 1/2

    Bracing displacement considered are two wood rods 2 inch diameter 17 1/2 tall for front to back bracing. Also double baffle has been considered. Driver displacement as specified by Kicker is = 239.8 cubic inches. Let me know if you need to see an assembly guide.

    I wouldn't mind a assembly guide! I'm really new to box building!

    Thanks man!

  2. Today as I was leaving school. I floored it out and you can say I some what drifted. I turned one way real hard then back the other way. Needless to say when I hit around 40-50 MPH my steering wheel shakes really back and it feels like I'm driving on a bumpy road. I looked it up and it could be my alignment or my tires are off balance. Just wanted to see what you guys think.

    I drive a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT v6 3.0

    Sounds like a shifted belt in one of the tires,or poss ball joint or tie rodend.Looks like you need to get it looked at either way.

    I also read that too. I'll get the truck in the shop and checked out real soon.

  4. I agree... I had that same amp and even though it pushed them..the SQ coming from that amp was not great...which of course you don't gwt to find out until you try something else lol...but it will suffice. Ull be good. :) can't wait to see more pics air

    Kinda sad that it just wouldn't work for me!

    Yea just save some coin , but on with the build bro !!

    I'll post more pictures tomorrow! That amp is going to set me back though! :/

  5. Well I know I don't post much. But I'm always creeping around the forum trying to expand my knowledge of car audio. I've basically got everything down but the gains and box building. Any way I posted a old thread here back in July of my Kicker CVR 15" Build. I didn't get to take a lot of pictures saying I already installed it. But this time I got to take lots of pictures! I will have more as it goes on!

    Equipment:

    (2) Kicker CVX 15's 4 Ohm

    (1) RE Audio XT4000DE V3 MonoBlock Amp

    Current Equipment:

    Pioneer AVH-23000

    Kicker 6x8's All Around

    Kicker 1/0 Gauge

    Kicker 16 Gauge Speaker Wire

    I'm a big Kicker fan as Stillwater is just right up the road from me!

    Once I get the box building down I will build my own box.

    Everything in my room:

    I'll have more pictures of the subs and box in my truck.

    My amp doesn't work, but I've contacted Audio Savings and should have a new one soon!

    Great customer support!

  6. Dosnt your amp get hot with the box on it?

    My box isn't really on it. My box still sits a good 2 inches above the amp. I'm thinking about mounting the amp on the box but I'm not sure yet.

    Don't. You have the space to mount it elsewhere. Mounting it to the box can cause the amplifier to fail.

    Does it always happen? No. Would you really want to take the chance?

    I'm probably just going to leave it where it is.
