Alright boss. Give me about a day.
-
-
I made a video for you guys to see. It is uploading right now to youtube.
-
I think what might help these guys troubleshoot what your doing is to make a video of you doing the whole process. Might help them help you.
I will. I am going to make a video tomorrow or something.
-
Are you connecting the probes to the speaker + and Batt - or the speaker + and speaker -
I am connecting the speaker + to batt-

So I just went and tried it. and nothing worked. I think it might have something to do with that buzzing noise I hear. probably a bad ground would interfere with it.

Just want to make sure you have a good battery in the device like a Duracell, Rayovac, or Energizer, something decent and that it has decent amount of juice left in it right?
I dont know how many times this has happened and you ask the person and they say its a brand new Duracell in the device.
Then when they return the item because it does not work and Steve or Tony get the item back as a return or repair they check the battery first and its usually some dead battery reading 4 volts or some no name generic battery. They simply put a new quality battery in it and the device works just fine.
I myself replace my batteries in my DD-1, DD-1+, IM-SG, and CC-1 as well as my 2 clamp meters and my multimeter twice a year even if there is still life left in the batteries.
Just making sure this isnt the case here.
I just got them not a 2 or 3 weeks ago. Also it is a duracell brand new just bought. I will retry it again later.

Try swapping your master and slave around.
I know when I just gain matched both my 4500s a couple days ago I used the DD-1+ to set BOTH amps, then I came back with the CC-1 and checked each amp.
1 of my amps makes about 5 more volts of power when set witth my dd-1+, So if i use the cc-1 to match off my louder amp, it instantly pushes my slave into clipping.
Alright I will take that idea also
-
Ok I have done all this before. And the as soon as I touch main amp, it says bad signal.
so the master says WHAT?
bad signal on the dd1 or cc1 ?
Bad signal on the CC-1

So you set one then use the cc? alrighty then I will get right on that.
-
why are you saying AMPS
set ONE using the dd1
then MIRROR the second with the cc1 off the master......
I thought you set all with the DD1? Thats what the SMD vid at least looked like to me unless I was mistaken...
-
Let me make sure I am following everything here.
1) Gains have been set on amp 1 using DD-1
2) You are now trying to use the CC1 to gain match amp 1 to amp 2
Agree... start from SCRATCH.
I can do this in under 20 seconds (running lane to lane)
I set the sub amps using the instructions in the DD1. After setting the amps right below distortion, I moved on to the CC1

Yes.

Matt,
Do you have your bass knob turned all the way up?
No sir I do not. I use the RCA volume knob since its two amps
-
Problem: The signal LED is Red and it won’t doanything when the READ button is pressed.Solution: The incoming signal level is too high, reducethe system volume until the LED turns Green.
Not trying to insult you: I turned the signal all the way down and still had a red signal. That is mostly where my confusion lies...
-
Yes. I set that first, did my door speakers then moved my way to the amps.
dude.. when i say master, that means your amps...one of the 2 sub amps. that is what your trying to gain match right?
The master has been set clean.
Then, follow the instructions....... you sure its clean? you sure all xover passes are open?
Its a very simple way to match.... there has to be something we are missing.
Trust me I know its simple. I looked at the video and I even looked at the instructions and tried it about 6 times. What do you mean by open?
http://store.crescendoaudio.com/symphony-s1500-1/ thats the amp right there.

I have issues with my CC. Whenever I turn the signal down on my amps, the red light never goes away. even when the radio is down and amps are down. am I doing something wrong?
What do you mean Whenever I turn the signal down on my amps,?
and signal meaning the cross over? or the gain adjustment. ???
Your master should be set clean. You then use the cc1 to MATCH the second one to the one you wanna mirror.
Please, when asking for tech help with the tools, you need to use your words proper for correct help.
You should ONLY be touch the gain on the slave amp..... The master should be set CLEAN , and then with the CC1 per instructions you will READ the master.
THen move to the slave, setting it to mirror the master using ITS gain only.
Thats the thing, I did those instructions before and even turned the radio signal down. I turned the volume gain down and didnt even get around to touching the crossovers.
-
What are you trying to even do with it? Set a pass or what?
what track? what freq?
what amp? what drivers/speakers ?
Yes, ill say now, YOUR DOING IT WRONG.
Read the instructions you got with it.
I was trying to set two cresendo s1500 gain together. i am not trying to set the crossovers the same since the box is tuned dumb low. its an FI SP4 15in and I do believe it was track 10 that the instructions told me to use. I re read the instructions. plugged out the connectors on the CC before turning it on. turned it on then then calibrated it. as soon as i connect the negative to the ground then the positive, the signal is red.

Well all in all. I am adding a volt meter to this option. with the 2 XS power batteries, im hoping that if i decide to upgrade to 2 FI BTL's in the future (no vs post on this) Then i will have the option and just put them in
