I bought a dc level 3 15 d2 and had a sudden realization when i was shopping for amps. see i already have a brand new p300-1 that puts out about 400w rms at 2 ohms. Now my question is, if i got another one, could i power each voice coil individually?

Looking for a nice mono amp that handles about 750-900rms at 1ohm. Looking for nice stuff like sundown, audioque etc. Not your max rated sony or pioneer stuff

So the aq1200 is a better bet over the 750? Anyone know the true rating on an aq750?

Okay so i got my level 3 15 switched to a d2 and was wondering what amp to run at 1ohm. I think the aq1200 would be overkill, but what about the aq750? Any ideas?

Yeah very true, i was reading the actaul msrp not the real price(facepalm) 220 on a b-stock is not bad at all. plus i put a word in to my dealer to see if i could get a d2, because i ordered today so hopefully

Okay so i ordered a level 3 15 and am in need of a new amp to power this beast. It is a d4 and i was looking at the hifonics hfi1000.1 for 150$ new. Any other ideas? or anyone had any horror stories with this amp?

I mean very true, because most people dont shop around for 0 gauge. But the company carried it two years ago but stopped carrying it cause it wasnt a rockford project

Exactly! I ended up going to some interstate battery store and left my name and number, and the guy said he would check with some commercial buisness to see if he could get me a deal, the guy said he bought 50 feet of 0 gauge 10 years ago for like 25 bucks, damn you inflation

So i made a trip to my local car audio shop to look for some wire(but only found overprice rockford 4 gauge for 3.99ft) and the salesman was quite intriqued with my new system im putting in. I told him i was putting in a dc level 3 15 running off a hfi1000.1. He then responded with what i believe is the funniest thing i have heard "Why didnt you just buy a 12w7 from us?"(diehard jl dealer). I took it as a joke then found him being completely serious, and i responded "you know your comparing a 200$ sub and an 800$ sub right?" and he was like "yeah but i mean, its jl".I then preceded to leave empty handed and with a smile on my face

Its a tad over 3 cubes when its all done(i tryed to use the max of my space)it comes out to about 3.12cubes or so. I decided to go with aeroport due to the way it would be mounted in my truck

Its a punch p300.1 putting out about 420rms at 2ohm. Yeah i read up on tuning and tuned my box to right around 33-34hz. cant wait to get my sub!

Im located around the Lancaster area. But to change things up a little, i ditched the 1.5cf prefab and got adventures with a good deal on mdf and built a custom 3.0cf that fits perfect behind my seat and im actually thinking a level two 15 would look amazing in there! however i need help on tuning, its my fist box and i wanna know what would be a perfect match for the level 2 15? also do i wanna do a round port or a square? Well what im working with is a rockford p300.1 at about 420rms, and a 1.5cf box. What im looking at is whether to run a level 2 12 or a level 3 12. Im on limited space due to my car(nissan frontier extended cab) and i wanna keep my jump seat(for now). Although i have dreamed of walling off the back cab before but not practical or cost effiecent for me now. Thanks, Andrew
