I installed a new system in my mazda 3 the other day...
stock HU
4 gauge stinger power kit
1-15 inch kicker cvr
1-kx400.1
3 cubic foot box...I'm guessing tuned 38-40hz
This is by far the loudest system I've ever had...It murders my 2 15's that were sealed.
For real tho, this system slaps like hell for one sub and a 400 watt amp.
I'll post pics/vids if anyones interested...I don't have any build pics of the box tho.

If you don't have it yet go get that shit now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Run This ft. Lil Wayne has a dirtier low than soul survivor.

Sorry I knew the cd was out for a while and I did some searching but obviously didn't dig deep enough...mods feel free to delete this thread...

This cd gets my seal of approval

why not ported on your box?
17x14x33 max dimensions

-1.6 cubes per sub sealed before displacement
-500 wrms amp
Oh yeah did I mention my custom amp rack? LOL

I've never met Steve, just like probably 95% of the people on this board...BUT I have been hanging around this forum long enough to know that Steve is one of the best in the car audio game.....That's nice and all, but what sets Steve apart is that he is willing to do whatever he can to help anyone...As busy as he is being a master installer, working, and his own personal life, he still takes out time to help out average people...You're a good guy steve, and everyone at this forum knows it...If that Saltyballz feg came over here and started talking shit there would be 1000 posts talking shit right back to him within minutes....We got you Steve.

apply more sound deadener on the trunk and rear deck.
I'm just gonna fire forward bc the box would block the air from flowing unrestricted into the car...
What do you guys think of teh subs? I think they look awesome, but they are not nearly as solid as my fubar...and .43" xmax on a 15 seems pretty shoddy.
-
alright ill keep that in mind. But as far as the sub goes would you guys rather see it set on fire or plugged into a wall socket Im not even worried about the claim anymore.
That's bullshit tho, are you not gonna get anything for it?
-
i honestly dont think they will blow the seal of the rear window. i think youre good the way it is.
Yeah but my trunk will rattle its ass off, and what do you mean the way it is? Subs facing the rear?

So, I was talking to a friend and asked him how he would wire the amp to the battery. He said that there should already be power cables that I should splice the amp power into. He also said that if I ran the amp power directly through the firewall and into the engine compartment, where the battery is, the wiring would burn. Is any of this true?
Thanks.
Nope

It doesn't make sense that its rated more gross power bridged than stereo. 2ohm stereo is the same thing as 4ohm mono on a 2channel amp.
Does that help?

Subs arrived today!!!
Overall I'm impressed with these subs...a bit plastic, but whatever...Finally I got some detailed stats on them
PW2-15m
1300 watts MAX power handling
550 watts RMS
110 Oz. Magnet
2" Aluminum Voice Coil
Mounting Depth: 7.08"
SPL 88 dB
Fs: 32 Hz
Vas: 67.882 cu. ft.
Qms:2.598
Qes:1.282
Qts:0.858
Xmax:0.43"
I don't know what half that means but I figured some of you guys would lol
So what do you guys think...considering I picked up both of these for under $150.
could someone please answer my wiring question from previous posts in this thread?
and one more thing...PA recommends 2.72 cu. ft. per sub sealed but after doing some measuring in my trunk I realized the most they can get is about 1.6 cubes per sub.
-
In my experience, larger boxes do better facing forward but they must be pushed all the way to the rear of the vehicle. Moving them just 12" or so forward has resulted in a 3db loss. I've also seen good results facing subs up in a trunk but the rattling was worse then facing the rear.
Yeah, with sound deadener my rattling is almost unbearable with one 12 sub and port facing back. I'll def fire the new subs forward and try what you said about pushing the box back...
Thanks man I will try that out
Can somebody please help me out with my wiring question...
The amp is rated 200wrms x 2 @ 4ohms but can handle a 2 ohm load on each channel...It's also rated 500wrms x 1 @ 4 ohms.
Will I be better off with a sub on each channel @ 2 ohms or bridged @ 4 ohms....or is the amp internally regulating those to the same exact thing?

Whey FTW!
ah yes....good ol' fashion protein.

I know some guys who are hooked on NO-Xplode...I personally like Whey Protein.

I haven't heard of anything negative coming from creatine other than cramps, twitches, and rarely diarrhea if the person has a bad diet. What have you heard 07mazda?
I've heard of people getting fucked up kidneys from not drinking enough water but never seen it happen...I would take creatine, but I just don't care that much.
-
Hasn't creatine fawked people up pretty bad before?
-
You shrink thats for sure, but you don't lose all of your gain. You just lose the water weight that you soaked up (which is sometimes alot though)
Exactly, in high school I saw guys start creatine, get their bench up to like 200, get off creatine, and fall below what they even started at.
-
People who take creatine only see gains as long as they are on creatine, as soon as they get off, they deflate down to normal size.
-
That's fucked up
