i used this site for years and dont listen to guy says even number of subs its up to you on that its your build.
best i can tell you is wire them series and parallel both so you get good ohm load to your amp
such as wiring them series on the subs and parelle to amp should get u .8 ohm load. most 1 ohm stable amps can take this daily after box rise.
oh the .8 was for 5 subs it be .67 for 6 subs.

i like to ground in back one each side of the car and one on back side and drill hole threw away from the muffler and ground to under neath side on the frame in good spot and paint it so dont crowed.
-
ya on my car my voltage only went up to 14v from 13.7v cuz dodge stratus have good grounds and postive already but my voltage didnt drop below 12.5 after i did on low notes so you see big difference there.
-
big 3 is alt to postive on battery. negative on battery to engine and than to fram. leave stock wires there though. more grounds to engine to frame is best cuz thats only grounds with engine cuz motor mounts are ruber and not contected. i always run like 4 or so grounds to frame to engine. sometimes big 3 dont do much but help on keep voltage up when hitting low notes.

well in your case, run the positive back to your rear battery with your fuses on it. then your negative from your front battery to a good ground in the rear. and then from that same ground location run it to the negative on your rear batt. and then from your rear batt, positive to positive on the amp, and negative on the battery to the negative on the amp. or you can just do the first plan, and go front battery positive, to rear battery positive and front battery negative to rear battery negative, and then from the rear batt, positive to amp positive, negative rear batt to negative on the amp. just remember to fuse. im sure wed all hate to watch our vehicles go down in flames or ruin your equipment just over a simple step.
good but still dont need to run negative all way back there cuz your car is grounded arleady in the front. thats why people do the big 3 is so dont have to run negative all way back unless you are runn alot power and he not. i never ran negative back just my postive and done big 3 up from and made nice grounds threw out engine. i am running audiopipe 3k with 2 batter only one zero kicker postive to back and rest is linked and negative gounded in alot place in my trunk voltage dont drop below 12.5 on 90 amp alt.

Sounds good, but if i remember correctly, you'll want to fuse between your two batteries just in case something shorts out. Your vehicle wont go up in flames
yep fuse the batteries. you dont really have to run negative though cuz its ground to your car and engine so mostly run few grounds to body in back and its good.

have clamped my audiopipe 3k gotten about 2k out of after box rise wired at 2 ohms there great amps alot people hate on them but there nice. i pulled 2700 plus wired 1.5 ohms with small box rise and done me well and never let me down.

well if tuned above 50 hrz can be louder but lower i say 143 to 144. my friend doing 147 on 800 watts with 2 15s aq hdc3 at 50 hrz. he got one hell of box rise but still doing nasty numbers. to bust 150 which i have not done going need alot more power and high hrz to do it or just right tuned box to do it. alot comes into play with your trying for 150.

another sub to throw out there is american bass xfl there 200 and there great subs i ran there xd and these and seen alot power but to these and sound great. also they 8 inch subs that are nice.
-
american bass xfl, audioque hdc3 12, dc level 3, sundown sa-12, or any good paper cone would do great.
-
do 2 4 inch or single 4 inch aero. 8 inch is little big for single 12 inc sub.
-
friend of mind got 2 4k powerbass on alpine type x and hammers hard putting around 1600 to each sub that is clamped power after box rise. if it is that much power aq will handle that way better by long shoot in low tuned box. he already blew 1 type x with just one 4k powerbass.
that guys an asshole
but what james said (forum asshole) two diff subs . my Xs are clean if i switched out to aq and kept everything the same i would see higher numbers on the meter and be louder
ya i say audioque would take better and sound just as clean as type x. i heard them both and from what people push to them seen 4 3500 put to 4 12aqs in firebird and do 155-156. they can take power and not let you down at all. alpine would probably let you down.
bottom line AQ can be reconed and alpine can not be. aq can handle 3k plus alpine cant, aq not main stream brand its spl brand. threads kind of pointsless cuz you comparing spl brand to sq brand. if was like dc or audioque than can see it being harder.
