  1. Easter Sunday 07'

    This is an annual event in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It's really not an official "car show". More like a bunch of people getting together to show of their shit. The event is held at the Lake Charles Civic Center. It is always crowded. Usually the cops realize that they are out numbered and keep their distance but this year it really went down! The cops arrived in about 45 minutes armed with pepper spray and paintball guns with pepper balls. It was a really fucked up situation. Nobody was causing trouble! It was just another Easter Sunday get together that the police felt the need to break up. The cops were firing pepper balls into the crowds and shooting them into cars that had their music up loud. All I had was my camera, so I managed to take 40 pictures before I got ran off. I wish I could have took a video of the super troopers in action! here is a link to the pics.

    i have never used gorilla glue on a box but it works great on mounting MDF to the roof of a car as long as you scuff the roof up.  I have used it to mount many overhead monitors with no problems.  I have found that it will dry in about 4 hours, much quicker than liquid nails!

    I had a guy bring his car in and I installed a Yellow top Battery, Alt, amps, subs & a deck.  It was a acura integra.  I noticed when I was under the hood that it had a new motor in it.  It was an H22 out of a prelude.  Anyway, dude calls me up an hour after he left my shop and said I broke his A.C.  I told him to bring it back up to the shop so I could look at it.  Well it turns out that he just bought the car and didn't know that the A.C. had been removed to make room for the new motor!  He just thought it was broken and was gonna have me do work under the hood and blame it on me.  When I explained to him that he didn't even have A.C. he got pissed and hauled ass!  I'll never forget that shit.

    I'm not authorized!  I never claimed to be.  I do buy from a Rockford Rep. firm in houston though.  In order to be an authorized Rockford Fosgate Dealer you have to have the following:

    Store front business

    Display with sound board

    you must be approx 25 miles from the nearest dealer (some states vary)

    opening qualifying order of atleast $10k

    i don't have that kind of money.  I do sell Rockford at my shop though.  I just buy from a wholesaler who is an authorized dealer and that is why I am able to warranty products.  And I don't sell on the internet!  you will find nothing for sale on my website.

    I have only been here a few weeks, but I haven't got any negative response from anyone either.  I'm not sure what happend to you & you are certainly entitled to your opinion.  This forum & others like it are designed to allow installers to gain knowledge, solve problems, help others with problems & get to know the tricks of the trade.  Constructive criticism is part of this forum.
