  1. I personally burnt up a T30001BD running it @ .5 ohm.  I have a 250 amp alt, 2 yellow top batteries & 3 caps.  it was under warranty so i was able to get it fixed, but it was a pain in the ass.  I would never do it again!  You are asking for trouble.  When I got the repair ticket from Rockford, the tech said that the amp was running too hot & I should never be operated below 1 ohm.

  2. I have been going to this show for several years.  It gets bigger and better every year!  The last few years it was held in the oil field park in Jennings Louisiana.  The cops were horrible and they would not let people drag or do burnouts!  SO..........  This year the show was moved to a different location.  The Coushatta Casino & Resort in Kinder Louisiana.  This is on a Indian Reservation!!!  This means that it is gonna be off the chain this year!  Legal dragging, USAC crank it up competition, burn out contest, bikini contest, ect.  I already have reservations!  If you go look for the cars from 3rd Coast Customs.  I should have atleast 3 vehichles in the show.

  3. like i said, i got nothing against them, i just choose to use my rep.  I get better deals anyway.  I get that T30001BD for $940  my cost.  I'm not bragging but this is how I make a living.  I have my own shop, website, ect.  I'm sure HDA is a great company and I hope their customer service is as good as I am used to.  I know what my wholesale/dealer cost on those amps are and if I had hundreds of them I might sell them and make $50 off of each one.  I simplly don't have it like that.  I can't find anything on their website that says that they are an authorized dealer?  It really doesn't matter to me either way.  I apologize for stating that they were not an authorized dealer but I can't confirm that they are.  I understand everyone looking for a good deal on products.  I did the same thing when i was a consumer.  But not I have a business to run and I pay employees, taxes and overhead for my shop.  Those ebay dealers have a huge amount of people looking at their products.  That is why they can offer such amazing prices.  I wish you fellas the best of luck whoever you buy from.  Atleast we all agree that Rockford Rules!!!

  4. well good luck.  i know my dealer will get my amps warrantied any time a customer has a problem as long as they pay shipping.  I agree with the bargin shopping but i don't know if i would trust a company halfway across the country to give the same service.  There are alot of shady people in this game!  I'm not hatin on them, just saying be careful

  5. yeah i have a 2003 F150 with that 4.6L V8 and everyone has alts but no dual kit?  I have an alt from Ohio Generators and it works great.  Right now I have 2 amps Rockford T30001BD & Rockford T8004 in the truck.  I am adding an additional T30001BD so I am gonna need more amps!  I could probably get away with running my stock alt along with the 250 amp alt from Ohio Generators if I could just find the bracket!  I'm gonna try and see if I can get one custom made?

  6. I have got nothing against Ebay auctions or High Desert Audio.  The only bad thing is that High Desert Audio is not an authorized Rockford Dealer and that link you posted only comes with a 90 day warranty?  The listing says that it is a new amp?  New Rockford amps come with a 1 year warranty?  All refurbished stuff comes with a 90 day warranty.  Not too sure why the warranty is only 90 days?  Anyway, goodluck finding an amp.  My distributor takes good care of me with my rockford stuff.  I can get stuff fixed for the cost of shipping, thats the good thing about buying from an authorized dealer.

  7. i checked with my distributor and they have 1 T30001BD available.  New $1300  I made sure it was brand new & still in the plastic complete with birth sheet from rockford.  let me know.  I'm not too sure how long they will have it, like i said they only have 1 left in stock & as you know they don't make them anymore.

  8. naw, i bought it.  But it was a really simple setup though.  I'm not sure if i could have made it but it sure looked easy.  You can get these on ebay.  they have all kinds of dual brackets and alts for the GM trucks.  This was the cheapest my brother could find.  It works great though.  Its not really high output though.  More like dual stock alternators but it was cheaper than a high output replacement. :sorcerer:
