[Need some help setting up system]

what i have:

1x MA Audio HK-401SX 1,800 Watt RMS High Current Mono Amplifier - Stable at 0.5 Ohms Amp Info

2x precision power 15's Subs Info

1x kenwood KDC-MP242 Head Unit Info

not sure how i should hook this up for most power and bass. please let me know of any ideas or anything to help me.

Don't use bass boost bro, its just gonna clip. Bass boost/Loudness on a head unit should not be used and the bass boost on an amp should be at 0 (all the way down). Also since you don't have an amp to your speakers you should make it so they don't play frequencies below 60hz, that's what I have mine set at.

ok man but a couple questions. whats clip? how am i supposed to get the same power without bass boost? how to i make the speaker play the speakers above 60hz?

I had some cheap led strips hooked up to my speaker terminals and their brightness was affected by the volume and power of the bass notes. They were cool while they lasted.

On another note... those square Halo housings have been on my eBay watch list for some time now. How long have you had them? Any problems with the rings?

i just tried to hook up a led strip to the terminal anddddd nothing happened. any pointers?

So heres my setup in my 1998 2 door tahoe. I know its not much but its my baby and for my first car im proud of it.

1x kenwood head unit

1x 1800watt m.a. audio HK401SX

2x precision power c2 15's

2x kenwood mid range speakers

2x powebass mid range speakers (just blew both)

hey i have 2 15'2 in a ported box now vs. the old sealed box and i havnt noticed much difference in rock.
