  1. I listen to pretty much anything. Lately though I've been listening to a lot of skrillex.

    LOL same here.

I have some of the strangest music on my ipod...

Although most recently (like two days ago) i came across a guy called Amon Tobin and his album ISAM... truly fascinating music though i can't really classify it :unknw:

personally i haven't been able to stop playing "Lost and Found" by him since i heard it... It has a nutty bass hit that surprised the hell outta me

  2. Yea fish you are right but that's only some rap that ppl do that with. Most ppl just look back in disgust at me no matter what I slap and I can't blame them, when I'm within 2-3 car lengths from you, your mirrors already start to vibrate and if I'm within 1 car from you, I can make your window flex too. Lmao

Damn man! I need you to follow me around in my town so the cops can keeps their eyes off of me hahaha

Edit: IO've heard this song a while back and could never figure out wat it was called.... Thanks Fish!

  3. i have had a rockford fosgate prime r500.1 for a few months now. it has been a great amp. all of a sudden one night i got into my car and there was no sub power no power light or protect light. checked fuses found they were blown replaced them and everytime the amp would turn on the fuses would just keep blowing. i noticed whenever i replaced the negative battery cable back on the amp it wasnt sparking whick i thought was odd so i checked the ground. as far as im concerned its exactly how it was 3 months ago. the ground wire is under the seat belt bracket. i sanded both contact sides down and put the wire in between it. i repositioned and sanded a little more and tightened it down real good when i put the wire on the amp it was now sparking a little when i went to put it on. but i also heard sort of like a fizzling sound coming from the amp and a little bit of smoke. i wasnt really sure what to think but hey the fuses didnt blow so i turned the key on and all hell broke loose. the amp littlerally puffed out smoke it was quite the show. by the time i got the battery cable off the whole car was full of smoke. what happened. everything was working so good? the amp has a 1 year warranty so i hope its covered. maybe i should have been removing the positive terminal not the negative. i just cant see how anything i could have done could have caused this. i had the right fuses on the amp and also have a inline fuse in the engine compartment.

Is it possible you mixed up which terminal your ground went to? I did that once (and never will again haha) and luckily my fuses took the hit (actually melted one of 'em) Sometime when you get distracted with other things you end up not paying attention to the connections...

  4. Ok so 5 people now have said "big 3".... What is that haha

look at my diagram i upgraded all my wires to 0 gauge. i ignored the stock wiring and just added 0 gauge. from alt to bat with 0 gauge and 2 new ground wires from negative to frame and to engine everyone foes it different for different applications check out the link below it will teach you how to do it!

this will explain how to do it

    http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/13280-how-to-do-the-big-3-tutorial/

Wow gotta say ya'll are pretty damn respectful... :good: I was afraid to ask that question for a long time and recently i started searching online and learned it that way... Needless to say... Big 3 is a must if you're going to run that high (i would advised it at over 500-600 rms)... I'm planning on doin the big 3 and i'm only running about 400 rms (need to get some readings to be sure though cause this amp is very elusive in the specs....) and as far as the batts go, I personally would get a couple red/yellow tops in there.

  5. i used to super glue razor blades to my deck and wiring harness...had some leave a blood trail from my truck down the drive deck was still hanging by the wires...lol but i couldn't agree more about the 2way alarm being a must if you have nice system.... scyteks are very reasonable and work great i have 2 of them 1 on my grand am gt the other on my truck .they are pretty easy to install ....good luck

I think I'm goin to do that when my wife gets home... we've had a few thefts in out neighborhood lately and we can't afford an alarm yet...

  6. lol planning on pissing off some people eh?

    Don't seem like lmao

When i was at AI i had a pair of fosgate 12's (not sure of the model)on a PA amp at about 500-600 watts

and when my neighbors below me pissed me off i'd give 'em a shot of 30 Hz lmfao

Being 3 stories up my roommate told me he could hear it outside clearly...

    good times....

  7. well you gotta start thinking how you want it to be wired up. I.E. Do you want the internal sound card to do the job? or do you want something like an external usb audio driver (like an M-Box)? then you gotta think about primary functions you are going to be using and how you would change them easily while you are driving. IMHO i think the mac mini would be a pain in the ass to do ass opposed to building a mini pc to do what you need it to (the high end audio cards you can get for a pc would be better than the ones that come in a mac... and i am a mac fan btw lol) as far as rigging a touch screen to it all check out a bunch of the DIY sites like Instructables or Make Magazine. Another thing to consider is the wattage you are going to be needing to power everything as well as amp draw on your electrical system. All in all it will be a pain in the ass to figure out and for me (if i could afford such a project) it would be totally worth it.

-Good luck on it and keep us posted on how it's going

(hell you might even be able to make some tut's for others with your research)

    :good:

  8. Here's the description:

My 97 chevy. 4 10in type r's on 2000 watts. Middle console setup is a little dangerous but I did not do that setup it was the work of the previous owner. It does have a 900 dollar high amp alternator. Right now we are working on a brand new box for 4 SA12's powered by 2 DD amps putting out 4000 watts. 2 XS power batteries that will be in a batterie bank inside the new middle console. Amps either behind seats or on bothe sides of new middle console. I appreciate criticism but please realize this is not my big picture but all that I meantioned is what is gonna happen soon. Thank you.

that is not what it said when I read it. it said something about he was the loudest in town and louder than you.

oh well glad he changed it to not sound like a tool.

wow damn, ninja'd like 3 times.

Yea when i saw the vid it was going on about how it's the loudest in town and it's louder than you... lmao

  9. This isnt very flamin, am i gonna have to make a funky pup thread? Argue guys please lol get the thread locked that would be great lol. I am writing a 1000 word esay about argumentative styles...so ya argue please lol

I don't think you're gonna get a flame war started here... people are pretty respectful of each other here... I think you might wanna try youtube or 4chan for that... (if you go to youtube you can find a war going on at every political, gay/straight, etc videos or even any video that has the key words "black" and "white" in it's tags together)

  10. "Model Number: Rockford Fosgate " now that's funny... the title says "ROCKFORD FOSGATE T2500-1BDCP 2500W MONO Car Amplifier" so wouldnt the model number be "T2500-1BDCP"? Anyone want a nice cup of inconsistencies?

Also if you look closely at the letters in the picture, there is a great deal of artifacts within them... Replaced watermark maybe?
