Also, hasn't been mentioned yet, but taking that angle into the box like that, takes away a little bit of displacement. Did you calculate for that little triangle of airspace you no longer have?

by the way i am only a highschool kid i currently have a box in my car that has a port way too small and it chuffs like a mofo...till i found out that u had to have a certain sq in. per sq ft.

Also i got dimensions just too lazy to do it on paint i tuned it with torrest calculator and its sitting at 35hz with 13.5 inches per sq. ft.

Is that a Kerf? and id say make it like 2 in. longer to avoid higher tuning, thats what i did on my box super similar to that.
what do you mean make it 2 inches longer like extend the port to the outside like this?

Ok, so i am building a box for my level 4 dc 15" box is 4.11 and after speaker displacement and port displacement is 3.15ft^3 so I
was wondering if doing what i did at the end...making the port opening 2 inches bigger would make my box higher tuned originally the pot is 3 inches wide

thing is i dont know how i would add one of those to a box! or else i would...which is why i though of this...didnt want to do kerf since it seemed complicated so i decided to come up with this...has some what of the same concept right?
