  1. why do you want nice subs and cheap amps?

Well I only want one or two of his DC's because he said he would give me a discount, otherwise I would've gone with Kicker or Rockford. But as far as the amp goes like I said above, I want something that will be cheap price wise without sacrificing too much power or quality.

  2. I'm not a noob to car audio, I've been around it ever since my brother got into it (six years ago). But I'm nowhere near a pro, and I don't like bothering my bro with a shit load of questions so I figured I would start asking some of them on here.

Ok so, my brother has four DC M2 XL 15's and a 12.0k sitting in his room they've never been out of their boxes or even opened. And I am now driving his truck and I've seen the systems he's put in it before, so I told him I want to buy one (or maybe two) of the 15's from him. I just don't know what amp I would use to power it (or them). There are so many options that would be great, but I work a minimum wage job so price is kinda important. I need the cheapest amp (or amps) that is available without sacrificing performance. Can anyone help me out?

  3. start by listing points of why it should be illegal

    and then why it shouldnt.

One reason it shouldnt be, is because there is no proper way to distinguish "loud" from normal. It's subjective.

Ed!! I thought you died! haha. You probably don't know me but my brother was the guy that you built the first ever TSNS 10" for. The "KRYPTONITE" Edition. I was the guy that edited the unboxing video for that woofer haha. But anyway, thanks for your input! Much appreciated!

  4. basically your just looking for us to do your paper.... correct?

your obviously a long time member here and have contributed lots :roflmao: so im sure people would jump up and down to write it all for you.

but if you would actually write your papers in school and feed your brain so it can grow, you would think, hey i bet there might be some papers online that other people like me might have posted. then a intelligent, experienced member would go to the search button and look for an equivalent paper!

but that sounds foolish, who would want to do that? :sigh:

Okay smartass, that's enough out of you.

  5. I'm tempted to write your first few paragraphs. lol.

Just explain the negative aspects of car stereo and how society looks down upon it. List as many as you can on a piece of paper, and turn each one of those into a paragraph. Then, list the counter arguments on another piece of paper and turn those into their own paragraphs. I'm sure a few of the topics you come up with can be turned into two parapgraphs if you're good.

Issue is, the main reason people hate car stereo is because assholes give us a bad name at stoplights. The argument is logically sided in our favor. You could probably get away with having more of your paragraphs focus on how car stereo is a healthy and fun hobby that will disprove any other theory saying its a nuisance.

    Good luck, man.

You can write something for me to go off of if you want! hahaha. And That's actually a really good idea, thanks man!

  6. Okay, I know I'm kind of a n00b on this forum but I really need some help from you guys.

I am a senior in high school (12th grade) and I have to write a 6-8 page paper as a final exam.

I chose my topic to be car audio because its one of the things I enjoy most.

I was going to do the history of car audio, like who started it, why it started, and stuff like that but my teacher said I can put that in my paper, but the main idea of the paper has to be a debate of some sort.

So I decided to do the idea of whether or not loud systems in cars should be illegal or not.

Obviously they shouldn't be illegal, but I need help supporting it. This is where you fine people of the SMD forum come in.

I REALLY need any help, ideas or anything that you guys can give me.

Feel free to ask any questions you have, any help would be much appreciated.

    -Peter
