  1. Car audio schools are a waste of time and money. I've worked with NUMEROUS "graduates" from mobile dynamics, ritop, and one out of florida I can't recall the name right now... they were book smart if you could even say that... zero hands on experience, no troubleshooting skills what so ever, and just plain not knowleadgable. Wow they learned a test that I passed on my first try.

Hands on experience is where its at... i started at circuit city for a few years, then moved to a custom shop. I love every minute of it, even if it is just a job for beer money/toys till I graduate next year and get my real job.

Goto college... get a degree... or if you really want to be an installer find somewhere that will take you on as an apprentice or something.

just my two cents(and almost every installer or shop manager i've meet also felt this way though ;)).

hey man i think that one from florida youre talking about is installer institute with the fish man and that guy from alpine who does all of their sema stuff. its almost all hands on with box building tuning and all wiring and installs. but it does have classes that arent hands on. it just depends on what you sign up for. www.installerinstitute.com

  2. A key to all Dodge and Chrysler vehicles is this.

Anytime a problem happens, at the first possible moment turn the vehicle off

Put the key in the ignition and do the following

Turn the key to the on position (not starting the vehicle)

    Turn key to off

Turn Key to on position again (not starting the vehicle)

    Turn key to off

Turn key to on position again and wait!!!!!

Your digital trip will flash a couple of times, then it will display the trouble code. Take this trouble code and either

    1) look it up in a service manual

    2) Post it here where someone can see it and we can retrieve the details on it

    3) google the code.

This will tell you exactly where the problem is.

hey man. i finally got that code. its p1684. i had to hook up to my battery charger and i couldnt intill my hood defrosted enough to open it and its been a little hard to move around b/c i had knee surgery last monday.

  3. i have a 300m and once is a while when it shifts 1-2 all my electrical shuts off for a second like its shorting out. we took out my alternator and tested it b/c some one said it mgiht be that. but it was just fine and nothing seemed wrong with it. so we figured there was a short but we went through and checked everything and cant fine a thing wrong with it. sometimes after it glitches or shorts it will completly shut off. but starts right back up. once in a while when i go to start it there will be no power no lights nothing and if i go to turn my lights on then off it makes this weird clicking sound for a few minutes and when it stops clicking my car will let me start it. any one know what might be wrong?

  4. apple pie with everclear??

    Care to break this down?

    J

im not exactly sure how to make it. but i know you mix apple cider with everclear and heat it and it takes a few hours to make but is worth it. its the best thing you will ever taste. its just like apple pie. its really strong though but the cider cancels out the liquior flavor so you cant even tell. it should be on the internet some where. its like apple pie shots. but im not sure if someone here just made it up b/c everyone in this town is like polish catholic and crazy partyers and make some weird drinks that no one has ever heard of, but is amazing to drink.
  5. Yes, ever had moonshine pudding? How about apple pie moonshine? I swear the apple pie tastes like you're eating an apple pie, you can taste the crust LOL

we always make the apple pie with everclear in the 5 gallon jugs we always have 4 to 6 of those full of it and its always gone the next morning. man u get messed up off those
