  2. explain I had this same channel running my mtx and it sounded just fine. But on these sa8s it sounds like they are bottoming out how long have you been running the setup with the SA8's? Since today getting rid of that amp seems to be the ONLY thing to do right now. i know its all you have for now, but dont risk burning up decent equipment with a faulty amp. I will get rid of that amp. Thanks! I will hook the subs to my mids and highs amp tomorrow
  3. I won't use that amp anymore. I was just worried and wondering why my subs are making that weird noise. Thanks

  5. explain edit never mind run half broken electronics and then argue with people its not the amp its the internet we have the facts to go on you stated you had a broken amp and a sound of your subs on that info its the amp edit x2 if its all you can afford pull it out or break other stuff and risk the chance of that amp shorting out even more and burning your ride down Dude I didn't come and ask this to argue. I was just asking a simple damn question. And you flame me. When I asked if it was my amp forsure I wanted to know If anything else could make that sound. I'm 15 just got these subs after saving forever and I was excited. Thanks for that.

  7. Okay, I have a cheap Ultimate audio 500 watt amp. Its a piece of shit but until I can get the fosgate it has to do! Anyways one channel is bad so I have the subs wired to 4 ohms getting 85 watts if that each. The gain is up 1/3 and when I turn it up it sounds like the subs are bottoming out! The volume and port should be correct! here is a vid of the sound! no image! Let me know what you think and what I should do! Im stressin so much! The subs are 2 sa-8 dual four ohms btw/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1d3cKPHUp84&list=UUQT8Bf8kfmyeQZ9aLZ3ZYkA&index=1&feature=plcp
  8. the other problem will be on your h/u do you know what level it starts to clip? no point on setting your amps correctly then sending them bad signal with h/u if you set your amps correctly don't play your h/u full tilt till you know at what level it starts to clip It starts to clip at about 25
  9. Think imma try the DMM! Question what you do the voltage squared whatever it is lol, do you do it by the watts per channel or total?
  10. I may have to take you up on that sometime! Like after I get my license next month! lol! Any idea how to do it by ear? I dont really have access to an o scope
  11. If everything goes as planned I will have the SA-8's playing tomorrow! Problem is I gotta re tune the amp! Can someone please explain to me how to tune the amp!

  14. Took some spare 8 gauge I had lying around, cut it and heat shrunk it around my wrist! The heat shrinking was the worst part, getting it hot sucked so bad. I was almost in tears. Had to hold it extra long cause the heat shrink is way to big. Oh well, it looks good! I like it! Just wanted to show you guys!
