  1. I have a 2007 Silverado (New body style).

I rolled the window down (power window) to drive home and when I got home the window wouldn't roll up. Just finished tearing into the door and the door motor is hooked up to a pulley system. Different from what I'm used to seeing. Crazy new vehicle shit. When the switch is pressed it makes a clicking noise and the motor gets hot.

When trying to move the window by hand it wont budge. Took all the bolts out and the window and tracks come up at once.

Has anyone had any issue with a window getting stuck in the track? Any issues getting them free?

  2. Edge tuner? I think so, you ever want some tips on some great power adders lmk, I've built quite a few 600 plus hp psd's

    Banks exaust

    edge evolution

    airraid intake

this week getting the rearend re-done to 4.88

i was told a custom program was better than any one ordered online. but i keep changing things and upgrading i'm sort of waiting till i level out before i go to a custom one

  3. I just don't have a spare on my truck cause the stereo takes up the whole bed and the batteries, compressors, air tanks and fuel cell are all under the bed.

Not that big a deal really, how many times have you ever had a flat tire? I've had two in 15 years and both of them were on tires that I should have replaced anyway.

I normally don't carry around a spare; however, I will take road trips with this truck. For competitions or vacations and will be a long ways away from the house a lot of times. The tires on this truck are $680 a piece and highly valued around here. I can't just leave my truck on the side of the road at ANY time. So I really need to get a spare to work on this truck - not only that - I need a spare I can secure down because of it's high value.

Epsecially since I'm upgrading to 22s soon, I will have a $500 rim and a $700 tire and I will NEVER leave my truck on the side of the road with a flat.

I like the idea of getting the tire on top of the bed cover. I'm going to have to research different bed covers and in the end may have to get something fabbed up. A 5th wheel or "jeep-esque" type contraption for my tailgate might work as well. I want to avoid a roof rack cause I barely and JUST BARELY get clearance for fast food joints. And yes i am a fatass and fast food is the shit. But i may do a roof rack and just not carry the spare till i go on trips.

  4. Not quite the most common problem but here it is!

I need to find a place to put my spare tire. My spare tire just happens to be 40". This is my daily driver and i am putting a blow through with 4 15s in the bed. Between box, amps, and loads of powermaster batts, there isn't much room for a 40" tire.

First here is the truck -

Now I would like to do something like this -

    Linky

but i would need to use a bed cover to make everything waterproof and that would take away from the waterproof by removing the tailgate.

    Anybody got suggestions?

  5. how much could you possibly lose (db's) with a blowthrough? Is it so much of a difference that you would sacrifice the leather, the room, the capacity for more people to enjoy the boom boom? Make a really loud blowthrough, then will be a sleeper......easily noticable with a wall, discrete without :hairtrick: dont be scared, CUT THAT CHIT MAYNE!!!

dont get me wrong.....would love to show off 4 15's:)

i think popular opinion has it. i think taking a saw to my 09 would void the warranty :P but i'll man up and get it done

  6. I haven't had much time to check the forum because my job has me traveling now - however I do value you guys input and opions.

With that being said I'm abouþ to purchase a new f-250. 7.3, 4 door, power everything, 2wd. Plans are to lower it and add rims from the get go. However audio is always in the plans and as I think about it I have to consider go big or not at all.

So my options are to take out the leather back seat or cut through the back wall. I love bill's f-250 and how it turned out but I'm just not that talented and I doubt any of the shops around here are either. As for the wall I'd hate to lose the extra people capacity and an expensive leather seat but because I'm traveling the former isn't that big a deal.

It will probably be 4 dc lvl 5 15s on sundown amps either way I go.

    What yall think?

  7. 10 dd 15s and a dd lv2

  8. I have a 1997 GMC C1500 with the 5.7 motor.

I recently pulled the gas tank to patch a hole. I reconnected the tank and all wires (double checked to make sure wires and hoses were reconnected properly). I go to start the truck and it would rotate but not start.

I pulled the filter and started the pump up and it was pushing gas through the system. I replaced the filter with a new filter. Engine would still not fire.

I pulled the ignition coil and brought it to get tested. It tested out fine and while I was at the auto parts store I picked up a distributor cap and rotor.

Got home and reassembled everything and it would still not fire.

    Any ideas?
