Thanks everyone for your input! I will look into it a bit more. Does anyone else know of some amplifiers that are somewhat cheap that put out 2.5k-3k watts?
-
But what if I want to eventually want to get a SAZ-3000D? That wouldnt be possible since I would have 2 ohm subs correct?
-
Alright and what do I want my subs to be for this amp? 1 ohm or 2 ohm?
-
Here it is: http://www.audiopipe.com/products/amplifiers/ap/ap-30001d.html Will this power 2 Fi Bl 12's? Thanks.
-
No sadly, I'm new to car audio
-
What is this option? "Internal Lead" It wasn't there an hour ago. www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn154ec0bb99b20c9/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0040_SSD/product_overview.shopscript

Why is it that for all of the Fi Bl's they are 1500 watts for 2ohms except for the 18" which is 1500 watts for 1 ohm? Is this a listed mistake or do they actually receive more power with 2 ohms?
-
Nah i didnt know what I wanted. I thought I did but I keep changing my mind
-
Yeah except for I have the money for one. Someone is selling one to me for $650 and a SAZ-3500 for $550.
-
Because I have more questions? People stopped replying to that thread after I already posted a bump. And I wanted different opinions. Definitely got a lot more out of this thread than the last one.
-
Alright thanks guys! I just want a system that will put out more than 3 Kicker 10" L7s. That's what my friend has I know you guys dont suggest me going straight to 15" SMD but couldnt I use this at 1 ohm to power it? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_39761_Power-Acoustik-D1-6000D.html After the 15" smd and this amp I will have about $300 left for electrical upgrades. Still no? :/
-
I would suggest starting out with the Havoc then. That way you can power it with a SAZ 1500 or similar power, and you won't really have to upgrade your electrical system for that kind of power What about (2) Fi Bl 12" instead? Or are the Havoc's better?
-
Yeah I am new to car audio! Thanks for the help guys! So instead of a 15" smd sub I was thinking (2) Fi Bl's 1500w each? But then again.. I will need an amp that gives me 3k right? Or are Fi's subs RMS actually higher than what they say? Keep in mind that the difference between (2) Fi Bl 12" and (1) 15" smd is only like $80.
-
Yeah but it is temporary until I get more money. Why get a mayhem when I will upgrade it anyways? You know?
-
I want to get (1) 15" SMD sub but I'm having trouble finding a cheap amp. Will this work? http://www.bossaudio.com/main/1142# or maybe this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-ACOUSTIK-BAMF-5500-1D-5500-WATT-MONO-AMPLIFIER-CAR-AMP-BAMF5500-1D-5000-/230673010414?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item35b52eceee#ht_3067wt_1058

What do you mean? Which size should I get then? So lets say I get (1) SMD 15" sub and a 3000w crescendo amp. Then eventually I buy a second amp for the one sub? Will it hurt the amp or sub only have a 3000w sub at first?
-
No I meant for the Fi Bls
-
Really? Which amp would you suggest for 3000w then? The crescendo?
-
Yeah I dont think I will have enough for even (1) SMD and an amp. I might just have to go with the (2) Fi BL 12"s because I can just use that cheap hifonics amp with them. :/ I need to win a free SMD! lol
-
Would I be able to use a cheap hifonics amp like this for the SMD sub? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_32979_Hifonics-HFi3000D.html Just until I get more money for a better amp? I know I wont get the full 3500 rms from the amp. I guess I'll need a battery like the XS D2400 as well?
-
(2) Fi Bl 12" subwoofers: $751.76 shipped RMS: 1500 dual 2 (per sub) or (1) SMD 15"/18" subwoofer: $829.08 shipped RMS: 3500 dual 2 So if I went for the SMD I would eventually upgrade to (2) subwoofers. The amp I might use: http://www.crescendoaudio.com/product.php?productid=17515 (unless you guys can suggest a cheaper one) lol.. Thanks!
-
Yeah I have, but I'll look again. Thanks.
