im gonna run that much power to them and Im not worried about it, but Im not gonna advise doing so unless you understand how a box can help control your subs
Ill eventually get there in the future. I understand back pressure for sure. But then thats not what your talking about. My box is a little more then 4 cubes at 30 hertz.
But holy sh!t whenever you add that extra power definitely update us. I wanna see if they can hold up on that much power especially for a daily driver or...blow...gotta find out how much they can actually handle

Hey kr15 have enough faith in the skar 12's to run 3k at o.5 ohm through them as a daily or no?
-
Im doing the same thing haha, stock electrical in my truck besides the 2 awg on the alternator. I bought the skars and sax 1200d something like 2 weeks ago maybe. Then I get surprised with good news Im getting a MUSTANG FROM A CAR AUDIO GUY :DDDD which Im gonna upgrade everything (trunk battery, 0 gauge wire, another sax 1200d, and a huge alternator)
But anyway do the big 3 and it should help, my 2 gauge alternator wire helped a little bit.

Well screw the rated watts, bump it up to a thousand for each sub ;D
-
^im confused with your post..the cresendo is 2160w @1ohm. mono amps are internally bridged
Yea I went and figured it out...i need another amp. Still beats pretty good for around 1200 watts at 1 ohm.

Dude that looks good enough I would wrap it in vinyl or carpet, that is a nice looking box. Great craftsmanship!
From your opinion why?
I dont really like carpet and I cant find any other colors then black.
I tried to pay close attention to detail
Looks like you took your time building that box. Edges look sweet, overall it looks good. There is always the automotive paint option, or rhinoline!
It took about 2 days, one for cutting then another for actually lining everything up and screwing/gluing. That little router does wonders I can really tell you that.
Now that rhinoline sounds pretty awesome!

better than my first attempt, that's fer sherr. i always remember that i need to caulk the interior right after i put the port on. that's about the time i remember the caulk gun doesn't fit in the port
Lmao I caulked the crap out of this box, almost using the whole tube, maybe a 1/4 is left. :3

I was thinking that or blue and silver. Ha thanks my dad helped with the cutting and drilling.
-
Any opinions on color?

That looks like the work of a professional box builder. Good Job!
Ha thanks I tried.

Looks great! But Im kinda doubting with the subs will fit with the trim panel and circle cutouts being so close together, but I could be wrong. Might want to put the woofers in and see if they fit just in case.
Yea I was going to put a cutting blade on the router and go over it again once I get the subs. I noticed it was to small but didnt know how big the rim was.

Eh it looks ok but it couldve been better. Ill paint it one day soon dont know what colors though.

The last guy told me that in a divided box they act alone, but if in the same box they could steal power from one another. Go look at our whole discussion. My link

Well what I heard is that facing ports towards the cabin adds some spl.

If you want to wait I can tell you how it all sounds when it comes in?
So about tuesday Ill have everything set up and such.

I've heard that for ext cab trucks the better orientation is subs forward port up, but i'm kind a noob too, so I'm not for sure, just maybe something to look into?
...ill be trading vehicles, but I have some dimensions, wishing someone will check them.
But if I need to face everything up I can my box is only 14 in.

It wouldn't blow or get to hot and shut down... D:

Building is a learning experience man! Try your best and post it up!
Please nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo D':
Your right its a learning experience, so why not help someone in the need for knowledge ;D
If you help me I will show the whole process of me building it and ill post it. My second box I build Ill do it myself.

I can give you all I know so far then. Those dimensions are what I can work with not the actual dimensions I for see for the box dimensions. I'm looking for the most from the subs for ground shaking bass I guess to say. I've seen the graph from winISD where it should be, which is 4 CuFt at 30 hz, 2 cubes per chamber if seperated. Thats about all I know.
Someone gave me a sq build, he gave me 4.07 cubes after displacement with 26.3 hz for a flatter response but I'm not looking for that.

Why not design your own to spec and use torres box calculator here on the forum?
I can give you a couple reasons why:
1. Major noob for box building, I can give you the way it should be made just not the dimensions for cutting the mdf.
2. I didn't know there was a box calculator here on the forum.
3. Like to see other peoples opinions and designs.
4. Learn new things from it.
5. At last, some people have fun building them so why not?

Thanks ^^ but i still have no experience with building..

Skar vvx 12"...
Well its an ext. cab truck so my height and depth i measured can be that but the width i dont really want it that but nor shall it be (more around 36 i think)wow i didnt even think about that, ha all i need is 4 cubes plus the sub displacement. Just something easy so subs/port/s frontwards. Also i liked the double baffle idea but if that cant work dont worry about it.
Would it help if i added what type of system im looking for?
Skar 12s flexin on Cresendo 2k!

I just looked at my box specs its 4.38 after displacements. And...WOW!
See I love this hobby, if I could go to college for it and actually make a business to make a living I would do it. Just to learn all of those things. See me either but I learn, take notes, and pay attention to where people have failed and screwed up.
