  1. Hello not sure if this is the right place to post a HID question but here it goes. I have a 2005 Pontiac Montana and I got some HID Xenon 9004 for my headlight and 880 for the fogs. Installed them today and the fogs works great but having problems with my headlights.

I used everything that came with the kit, relay harness installed .

First the passenger side headlight would turn on and thorn off a few second later but the driver side would stay on.

I Google my problem and many places said to try and switch the bulbs from driver to pass- pass to driver.

I did just that and now my problem is that the driver and pass stay on but the driver side flickers and I could hear a tick coming from the front. It also tick in my front speakers. My fronts are Infinity Kappa running off a old school Earthquake PH120.2, but the tick wasn't there before I installed the HID today.

Any could help me out it would be great.

    Thanks

  2. Google is your friend, you can easily find the specs within 4 seconds of searching. Come on now. That being said, what voicecoil configuration do you have? Bare in mind, the Alpine is doing 1,000 at 2 ohms nominal while the Hifonics does 1600 at 1 ohm and 1,000 I believe at 2. So what would be the point in changing if you keep a 2 ohm load?

Thanks I did a google search and found the specs, I will be running at 2 ohms but it would be nice to be able to run at 1 ohms when I replace my subs. I can't find is they do rated rms or close to them?

i have been reading and saw they do anywhere from 1200-1300 watts at 1 ohm btw that was clean wattage

Thanks for that info so if it does 1200-1300 at 1 ohms I doubt it does the 1100 rms at 2 ohms I guess.

  4. ok so what I was able to find online is Parametric EQ is bass boost I could leave this off and just use my deck for bass boost. Right?

Input level is for your pre out from your deck, I have 2 volts rca out so what should this be at? I have it at default 0db.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

  5. setting the gains, sorry, I downloaded the manual but it doesn't explain much and the settings and what they do. Like the input gain goes from 0db to -24db but not sure on what its used for. Parametric EQ, Bass Compensation should I use them?
