The xover point depends on a few things. Wattage and the slope of the x-over being the most important. You could run them all the way to 3k if you were running them under rms with a slope like 18 or 24db/ octave. If you are running them with 100 watts the eminence xover should be fine at 12db/octave. I run selenium compression drivers down to 1k but I have them on half rms and active 24db/octave. These tweets are incredibly efficient 111 db and get stupid loud with a small amount of wattage. You will need a lot of cone area or some pro audio mids to keep up with them. Those bose won't begin to keep up. Too much difference in sensitivity.
You could cross them at 8 or 10 k but you will need another tweeter that played up to around 16k and lacked a little of that shimmer that people like. That is why people use supertweeters in home audio and some car audio setups.

I was emailing the tech guy from parts express and i asked his, it he was getting these super tweeters what crossover would he have, he said:

I'd recommend a 12db/octave crossover at 5000 Hz.

but the one i was looking at is an 18db/octave. Is that okay?

So this "Eminence PXB2:3K5 2-Way Crossover Board 3,500 Hz". would work? It had another place for the wire though, the W+, and W-. Is that for a woofer? If so is it ok if i dont use it? and only use the T+, and T-?

No offense taken, thank you for the help. My sig needs to be updated. I still have the kenwood HU and it runs the bose door speakers then i have a kicker zx1000.1 running 2 12" CVR's; thats it. I want these 2 selenium tweeters and im goint to get a rockfrod fosgate 400-4 (4 channel amp) to run the tweeters.

I have a bose system in my car, and i think bose has their systems set up with their own crossovers? Im just worrying about the tweeters. I just did not wanna buy that crossover board if it was the wrong thing, ya know.
If i get 2 super tweeters, then I need 2 of those crossover boards also?

So I plan on getting 2 Selenium ST350 Super Tweeters and i want to filter the frequency going to them so i need a crossover, rite? So i saw this "Eminence High Pass Crossover Board 5,000 Hz". Would i run the speaker wire from the amp to this little board and then from the board to the super tweeter?

...an optima wouldnt be ideal, but would probably do the trick. Look into XS Power...they make a great product. You get what you pay for. And do the Big 3 in 1/0 cable.
I had the pyle and 10" sittin around so I threw em in. XS is expensive though and there are so many, idk what one would work

Hey, I have 2 12" cvr's and 1 10" Comp. 2 amps - autotek 1500 and 1400 pyle. I have 4AWG on the autotek and 8AWG on the pyle. When the bass hits my lights dim a little. I'm getting a new battery, hopefully that will stop the dimming. Only problem is it cant be over like $150. How is a Optima Yellow top? Please Suggest good battery's that will work for my system!! * I will be getting a Hifonics HFi2000D amp soon so..getting rid of the pyle and will have the autotek and Hifonics. (Incase that matters)
